Recently, Thunder and Mimi recently revealed their four-year relationship through the show and they also posted letters on Instagram saying that they want to be with each other for the rest of their lives.

On July 27, another episode of KBS2's Second House 2 with Thunder and Mimi was aired. Choi Soojong helped Thunder to execute his plan for Mimi. Choi Soojong suggested preparing and creating a small surprise that can impress his partner.

Choi Soojong passed on event tips to make it stay at home event. With the help of Soojung, Thunder made a projector screen with ordinary cloth and created a beautiful atmosphere with tulips. After that, Mimi who went out with Choi Soojung's wife, Ha Heera returned.

Mimi shed tears as she watched Thunder's surprise video of their memories as a couple. Thunder also sang and said, “I hope my sincerity is conveyed and let's get married. After Choi and Ha's announcement, they wanted to walk along the streets while holding hands but they weren't able to do that. Thunder and Mimi stated that they're seriously thinking about getting married around next year. Both Mimi and Thunder's parents, and his older sister Sandara Park were happy about it. Ha Heera praised the couple for their perfect harmony, and said that Thunder and Mimi are pure and have a supportive people around them that's why they have healthy energy. Thunder and Mimi asked Choi Soojong for a congratulatory speech and asked Ha Heera to officiate their wedding. Ha Heera answered, “I'm old enough to be the officiate, but I've never seen one yet”, she agreed to be the officiate even though she was shy. Choi Soojong also gave tips on marriage to Thunder. “You have to listen to your wife and respect her views and perspective about life. Neither person can be 100% right. If you only try to fit in then you will have conflicts. There's no problem if you accept the person you love.“ Thunder left a cute remarks saying, “Mimi is actually a cat and I am the butler. She can do and ask whatever she wants and I will fulfill it.”

Thunder debuted in 2009 as a member of MBLAQ. He is also known as Sandara Park's younger. After the disbandment of MBLAQ, he is currently active as a rapper. While Mimi debuted as a member of Gugudan in 2016 and is currently pursuing her career as an actress.

MBLAQ's Thunder expressed his feelings about announcing his marriage to Mimi, a former member of the girl group Gugudan. Thunder said, “Mimi and I had a firm idea of marriage, so we revealed our relationship at KBS2's Second House 2.” The date of their wedding is still undecided. “We both want to have a wedding next year, but we haven't decided on the date yet before the meeting,” Thunder said. “Thank you for your warm attention and support despite the sudden news. Please watch 'Second House 2' for more information about us,” he added. Earlier, Thunder and Mimi made a surprise appearance in the trailer for the 20th episode released at the end of the 'Second House 2' broadcast on the 13th.
