aespa's Ningning, Giselle 'Lollipop' Demo Lyrics Spark Debate Over Explicit Content
Alleged original lyrics for "Lollipop," a unit track by aespa members Ningning (닝닝) and Giselle (지젤), have recently come to light, sparking unexpected discussion. Fans discovered that an early version of the song contained significantly different lyrics from the officially released track, with some content featuring explicit adult innuendos, leading many to exclaim that the "scale is too large."
The incident began when a clip, believed to be an early version of the song, circulated online, featuring Ningning and Giselle playing parts of the track. Keen-eyed fans quickly noticed that the lyrics in the clip differed markedly from the official release. The original version not only used bolder language but also subtly altered the overall atmosphere of the song.
One section of the alleged demo lyrics reportedly mentioned phrases such as "hands busy at work," "but I'm doing well," and "drip-dropping on my fingertips." The final line was interpreted as a double entendre for "just a little bit in." Due to their strong suggestive nature, the leaked lyrics immediately ignited heated discussions among netizens.
In contrast, the officially released version is noticeably toned down. The lyrics for the same melody were changed to phrases like "I'll treat you well" and "always thinking about, playing these tricks," avoiding the more explicit double entendres of the early version. The stark difference between the two versions has drawn considerable attention.
Many fans were both surprised and amused by the discrepancy between the earlier and later versions, commenting, "Now I know why it's called 'Lollipop,'" "What exactly is going on?" and "The original lyrics are way too different!"
As the alleged early lyrics resurfaced, fans began reinterpreting "Lollipop" from different angles, noting that the original version was clearly bolder than the official release. This unexpected discovery has ignited a new wave of discussion surrounding the song.
