Actress Ban Min-jung, 46, announces marriage to entrepreneur, calls it 'late-blooming destiny'
South Korean actress Ban Min-jung (반민정), 46, has announced her marriage. She held a private wedding ceremony on the 6th, tying the knot with an entrepreneur one year her senior. Following the nuptials, Ban shared her newlywed sentiments on social media, stating, "Since this is a late-blooming destiny, we will cherish each other's company even more and live our lives loving each other well."
On the 6th, Ban revealed her marriage via her personal social media account, writing, "Because this is a late-blooming destiny, we will cherish our time together even more, loving each other and living together with healthy bodies and minds."
She also expressed gratitude to her fans and those who have supported her throughout her journey: "I sincerely thank everyone who has shared different moments of life with me and continuously supported me." She further asked for blessings for their new life together.
Reportedly, Ban held a private, non-public wedding ceremony in Seoul on the same day, attended only by close family and friends. Her husband, who is one year her senior, previously worked in the entertainment management industry and is now an entrepreneur managing an interior design business.
Ban, 46, debuted in the entertainment industry in 2001 through director Kim Ki-duk's film The Isle. She has since appeared in numerous dramas, including Bridal Mask, Good Doctor, Golden Cross, and My Daughter, Geum Sa-wol, accumulating extensive acting experience.
In recent years, in addition to her acting career, Ban has actively transitioned into a performing arts educator. She currently mentors junior actors at performing arts institutions and universities, sharing her years of accumulated acting expertise.
Now, at 46, she embarks on a new chapter in her life, describing this relationship as a "late-blooming destiny" and pledging to cherish each other and live a healthy and happy life together.
