YG娛樂今日正式發表BLACKPINK全部成員也將與YG繼續一起合作：「經過與BLACKPINK的慎重討論，以深厚的信賴為基礎，簽訂了組合活動的專屬合約」。

BLACKPINK計劃在YG的支持下，不僅發行新專輯，還將通過超大型的世界巡演來報答全世界粉絲們的喜愛。

YG的總製作人梁鉉錫表示：「能夠延續與BLACKPINK的緣分，感到非常高興，今後BLACKPINK作為本公司所屬的K-POP代表藝人，為了在世界音樂市場上更加耀眼發光，我們會盡最大的努力，對她們的行動給予不變的支持和信任」。

很多網友也紛紛表示：「太好了！快點出專輯！快點進行活動！」、「嘩！大發！太幸福了～」、「聖誕節看到這個消息太好了！」、「相信成員們，一直在期待！」、「即使個人所屬公司變了，先以組合形式簽約，對團體活動更有利，真是萬幸。想快點聽BLACKPINK的新歌！」

但也有網友有其他看法：「YG強調團隊合約，是成員個人合約簽了其他公司嗎？」、「維持組合是理所當然的，更好奇個人合約」、「就算是以個人活動為主，想想YG的心情，感覺這樣也是對的」
