Caridee小編10/23/2023 1 min read

The dispute between FIFTY FIFTY and their management company ATTRAKT continues. After one of the members, Keena, returned to the company, the agency announced today that it has terminated exclusive contracts with the remaining three members Saena, Sio, and Aran, and will take legal action accordingly.

ATTRAKT announced on the 23rd, "Among the members of our girl group FIFTY FIFTY, apart from Keena, the remaining three members Saena, Sio, and Aran have reported the termination of their exclusive contracts on October 19th."

A representative from ATTRAKT told Korean media, "The contracts of three members of FIFTY FIFTY were terminated due to severe contract violations, and there have been no actions of correction or reflection," and also mentioned that they will discuss future measures for the members.

Previously, Keena revoked the suspension injunction on the exclusive contract she submitted to ATTRAKT on the 16th. She is currently back at her company ATTRAKT, but her future activities are still undecided.

Keena also gave an interview to the Korean media Dispatch earlier, revealing how the producer An Sung-il had manipulated the members, causing them to lose trust in their agency, and consequently guiding the members and their parents to pursue litigation to halt the validity of the exclusive contracts.

During the interview, Keena further mentioned An Sung-il's assertion, saying, "After getting a large investment, this investment money will quickly become a debt for the children, and after the first album, he wanted to abandon the members," causing a rift between the members and the entire representative.

FIFTY FIFTY Keena reveals the inside story of the contract saga to Dispatch

Keena, a member of the FIFTY FIFTY group, recently decided to stop the lawsuit and return to the original management company, ATTRAKT. Keena also accepted an interview with the Korean media Dispatch and revealed the inside story about Ahn Seong-il preventing members from meeting with the management company. Keena revealed to Dispatch that Saena had reported to the company as early as June that she had been diagnosed with the coronavirus. It was reportedly said that the positive picture also belonged to Ahn Seong-il and said, "It would be better not to carry out schedules from now on. If you get diagnosed with COVID-19, you would be left alone, so you could avoid the management company." Keena further noted that at the time it was considered the best decision to initiate a lawsuit. The producer, Ahn Seong-il, even stated "You shouldn't meet with the company's people", and at that time, the lawyers also recommended, "It's best not to converse." Keena revealed that Ahn Seong-il claimed that the success of "Cupid" on Billboard was all his own doing. She said, "He always showed me Kakaotalk messages, which were conversations related to Billboard and a certain individual. The content discussed how the ranking had reached this point and how it would continue to rise... It seemed like everything had been prearranged. Ahn Seong-il also mentioned that the 'Cupid' music video was initially financed with my money, and ATTRAKT consistently delayed payments and so on, which made us feel quite exhausted with this company." Keena also mentioned that after a proposal to sell Warner's prior 20 billion won was rejected by the representative, Ahn Seong-il persuaded them to apply for provisional disposition. "There are three methods - to get investment from CJ, to get investment from Kakao, or to apply for provisional disposition. But whether to invest or not is entirely up to the company. But Ahn Seong-il insisted this is the members' choice. In the end, the parents felt it was unjust to leave their children with debt, so they chose to apply for provisional disposition." Keena also pointed out that her suspicions of Ahn Sung-il began due to his past fraudulent activities, such as falsifying copyright signatures and educational backgrounds. "I only knew from the news that my royalty fee had decreased from 6.5% to 0.5%, and the signature on the change request form was also fake, not my own handwriting," he said. Ahn Seong-il denies all the reports about him, referring to them as "fake news." He also addressed the allegations of falsified academic qualifications by saying, "It's a matter from the past; the records were lost during my transfer to a different school." Keena added that parents have become increasingly upset and skeptical of hn Seong-il. As a result, Ahn Seong-il has been ostracized in the current situation. Some members of the group have taken to posting their own messages on social media, while Ahn Seong-Jae has reportedly left or disappeared.

Meanwhile, the representatives also expressed their hope that Keena, upon her return, would tell the whole truth without holding anything back: "Let's bravely and calmly recount what happened before, one by one. If Keena and her father want to ease their minds sooner, Ahn Sung-il and Baek Jin-sil will also have to face legal punishment."

FIFTY FIFTY's Keena unexpectedly reveals differing opinions with the members

Five months after the dispute with her management agency ATTRAKT, Keena, one of the hard-nosed members of the girl group FIFTY FIFTY, surprisingly announced her apology to the company and her intention to return. Keena is also willing to hold a dialogue with CEO Jeon Hong Jun once again. The members of FIFTY FIFTY, who have been silent all along, have been expressing their dissatisfaction with the company through a series of statements on their newly created SNS from the 12th. One of the members, Keena, met with the representative after submitting a temporary injunction to the Seoul High Court to terminate the effect of the exclusive contract on the 16th. CEO Jeon also expressed to the Korean media "Culture Daily" today: "I arrived at the office around 5 pm on the 16th. It's been five months since we last met, I'm so tired, she must be tired too.", showing sympathy for Keena. Next, CEO Jeon brought up Ahn Sung Il, saying, "When asked what seemed off about Ahn Sung Il, Keena answered that it was during the issue of his falsified academic background. Moreover, Keena didn't know that her copyright shares had been reduced from 6.5% to 0.5%, leading to mistrust, and she realized that producer Ahn Sung Il was not an honest person." Producer Ahn Sung-il will transfer 74.5% of the shares owned by the three Swedish songwriters for the show Cupid to his own name in March of this year, and he will also increase his shares to 95.5%. In this process, Keena's lyricist share decreased to 0.5%, causing Keena's dissatisfaction with producer Ahn Sung-il to grow. Keena once again mentioned to everyone that she believes decisions should be made as a group, due to being part of a team. However, situations like this occur because each individual has different thoughts. The whole team also noted, "Despite that, Keena built up the courage to come, probably making a difficult decision." Although Keena has returned to the company, she will take some time for self-reflection. Not on a legal issue, but regarding the responsibility of triggering social dispute during the conflict with the agency. The representative said, "She has been in the darkness of pain for 4 to 5 months, and her physical and mental health has not been good. First of all, she needs self-reflection and to apologize sincerely. Only in this way, she can become a mature person again." And CEO Jeon also indicated they would continue their fight with the producer Ahn: "Keena should completely disclose what has happened in the past, speak in front of a lawyer. I suggested we should spend some time for a dialogue to see who lied, who deceived whom, what was done wrong. We should not tolerate the brutal forces that crush children's dreams."

FIFTY FIFTY Keena suddenly drops the lawsuit against ATTRAKT

The female group FIFTY FIFTY's member Keena suddenly abandoned the exclusive contract and halted the lawsuit for false accusations, bringing a new dimension to the conflict with the management company ATTRAKT. ATTRAKT also stated that they will closely monitor and engage in discussions. It is reported that Keena has submitted a repeal of provisional disposition to halt the effect of an exclusive contract to the Seoul High Court via her legal representative on the 16th. The legal representative of FIFTY FIFTY explained, "Only when Keena appoints a new legal representative and submits a repeal will the lawsuit of the remaining three members continue." Earlier, the Seoul Central District Court rejected FIFTY FIFTY's application for a temporary injunction on exclusive contract effectiveness, stating, "It's hard to determine whether the obligation to provide liquidation information was violated, and it's also difficult to see it as a violation of health management obligations. Ending the business with The Givers does not violate the exclusive contract." In response to this, the members immediately filed a protest, however, today there are rumors that member Keena has temporarily stopped the lawsuit. In response, ATTRAKT informed the Korean media that Keena is considering a return to the company. They mentioned that they intend to have a discussion with Keena to understand her intentions and the direction for resuming her activities. However, as of now, she has not yet reached out to CEO Jeon Hong-jun. FIFTY FIFTY, with their popular song "Cupid", made history in K-POP by hitting the Billboard Hot100 chart. However, in June, a sudden twist occurred when all four members, through their legal representative, applied to the court for an injunction to terminate their exclusive contracts, causing a huge uproar. Regarding this, ATTRAKT's representative,Jeon Hong-jun, expressed hope for reconciliation with the members and continually implied that activities could be resumed at any time. However, the members have been silent for 2 months, hiding behind their families and lawyers, and adamantly stating, "We will never go back." In August, the members suddenly expressed their feelings through a handwritten letter on their private IG, saying, "Taking this incident as an opportunity, we hope to rectify our relationship with the management company, which has been forcing us to work in the wrong way. We will gather and submit evidence and information to support the truth, and we will make an effort to dismiss any misconceptions and misunderstandings." Recently, the members once again exposed allegations that the company disregards members' health conditions.
