G-Dragon Reveals True Reason Behind Frequent Social Media 'Likes,' Fans React Warmly
Every move made by BIGBANG member G-Dragon (Kwon Ji-yong, 권지용) on social media consistently garners significant attention, with even a simple 'like' capable of sparking widespread discussion. G-Dragon recently disclosed the reason behind his frequent 'liking' of posts on social media platforms, revealing that his actions are far from random.
On May 22, the YouTube channel 'DdeunDdeun' released its latest video, titled 'Anniversaries Are Just an Excuse.' To commemorate BIGBANG's 20th anniversary, G-Dragon, Taeyang (Dong Young-bae, 동영배), and Daesung (Kang Dae-sung, 강대성) made a special appearance alongside Yoo Jae-suk (유재석) and Haha (Ha Dong-hoon, 하동훈), where they discussed their current lives and shared various personal anecdotes.
During the program, Haha mentioned his fondness for watching YouTube Shorts, admitting that once he starts scrolling, "four hours can pass in an instant," which drew laughter from the set. Hearing this, Yoo Jae-suk seized the opportunity to reveal Haha's social media habits, joking, "He just keeps hitting like."
Haha quickly clarified that he doesn't 'like' posts indiscriminately, explaining, "Don't people who receive likes feel happy?" He believes that a single 'like' from him can serve as positive feedback for the poster, so he pays close attention. G-Dragon, listening nearby, nodded in agreement. Yoo Jae-suk then asked him, "G-Dragon is also famous for liking posts often, isn't he?" G-Dragon readily admitted, "I basically like everything."

He then explained, for the first time, the reason behind his frequent 'likes': "At least most of my algorithm is content related to me or BIGBANG, so many times, liking is a way of expressing gratitude." He further elaborated that a 'like' also signifies, "I am paying attention, and I see everything."
