Actress Ji An Marries Former Pro Baseball Pitcher Eom Jeong-wook
Actress Ji An (지안, 42), who launched her career after winning the Miss Chunhyang pageant, has gained recognition for her roles in films such as 'Dark Web' and 'Serve the People.' She recently surprised fans by announcing her marriage to former professional baseball player Eom Jeong-wook (엄정욱) on her personal social media. Ji An also shared wedding photos featuring her fiancé, marking a new chapter in her life.
On the 8th, Ji An shared the news on social media, writing, "Hello everyone, I have some surprising news to share. I am now going to be a married woman!" She personally announced her impending marriage to her fans.
Discussing her decision to marry, Ji An admitted she had never seriously considered marriage, viewing herself as a "free spirit" who valued independence. She never expected to marry Eom, who was known for his incredibly fast pitches during his professional career. She sweetly described their relationship: "He was the one who threw the fastest pitch in Korea, and just like his fastball, he quickly captured my heart." Her words conveyed her deep affection for her fiancé.

Ji An revealed that although their courtship was brief, their relationship deepened quickly, leading her to the conviction that "if it's this person, I want to spend my life with him." She also praised Eom's warm personality, stating that he received abundant love from his parents since childhood, which made him accustomed to thinking of others first and being considerate and caring towards those around him. She described him as "a person with a very warm heart."

Her fiancé, Eom Jeong-wook (44), was a renowned pitcher in Korean professional baseball. He began his career in 2000 with the Ssangbangwool Raiders (쌍방울 레이더스) and later gained fame for his incredible pitching speed, throwing fastballs up to 158 km/h during his active career. This earned him recognition as one of Korean baseball's iconic "fireballers."
The journey of Ji An and Eom from a "brief yet profound" romance to marriage has surprised many. Ji An described their relationship by saying he "quickly captured my heart," sweetly announcing that she will embark on the next stage of her life with her beloved.
