Korean actress Ji Ye-eun (지예은) is preparing to marry dancer VATA (바타) in December. She recently offered a first look at her wedding preparations through her newly launched YouTube channel. To personally deliver her wedding invitations, Ji visited senior figures in the entertainment industry, carrying cards featuring a hand-drawn design by a friend. The unique illustration unexpectedly became a focal point, with Yoo Jae-suk (유재석) playfully remarking that it looked like a “corpse bride,” eliciting laughter from everyone present.
In the web variety show “What Are You Doing, Ye-eun?” (뭐하지예은), released on November 2, Ji personally delivered her wedding invitations to the cast of SBS’s “Running Man.” The revealed invitation featured the words “We are getting married” alongside a distinctive hand-drawn illustration of the bride and groom. Ji shared that a friend had personally created the artwork for the couple and expressed pride in the heartfelt design.
Upon receiving the invitation, the senior entertainers offered their opinions on Ji’s depiction in the illustration and the overall design. Yoo, after carefully examining the artwork, jokingly commented, “The invitation design is beautiful, but it looks like the Corpse Bride from 'Corpse Bride.' I should draw their eyes, nose, and mouth myself.” His remarks sent the set into laughter, to which Ji immediately retorted, “You know nothing about design!” Their playful exchange drew further amusement.

However, Yoo also offered warm congratulations, saying, “Ye-eun will definitely be very happy, everyone doesn’t need to worry,” showcasing his affection for his junior colleague. Additionally, Yang Se-chan (양세찬), upon seeing Ji in the illustration, laughed and said, “Ye-eun is drawn so thin!” Ji promptly replied, “I am thin, and now I need to manage my bridal figure well,” expressing her anticipation of becoming a bride.

During a meeting with Kim Jong-kook (김종국), the two also discussed the wedding congratulatory song. Kim mentioned the song “Black Cat Nero” (검은 고양이 네로) and revealed his willingness to perform it at the wedding. He also recounted a past incident where he sang a song of his own choosing at another wedding instead of the one requested by the couple, which again brought laughter to the set.
Ji repeatedly expressed her gratitude as her colleagues readily agreed to attend the wedding. The senior entertainers not only shared their own marriage experiences but also offered blessings to her and her future husband, creating a heartwarming atmosphere.
Beyond the wedding, Ji’s first venture into managing a YouTube channel also became another topic of discussion on the show. When she introduced her channel name, “모아지예은” (Mo-a-ji-ye-eun), her colleagues candidly offered their opinions, with some finding the name too long and others feeling it lacked memorability, giving very direct feedback.
In particular, when Ji revealed her original intention to film vlogs, Kim Won-hoon (김원훈) bluntly stated, “If you film vlogs, you’ll fail.” However, his comment was not merely discouraging; he believed that instead of everyday life vlogs that anyone could film, it was more important for Ji to leverage her unique personal characteristics to create distinctive content.
From the special hand-drawn invitations by her friend to the sincere and warm blessings from her entertainment industry seniors, Ji’s wedding preparations are filled with laughter and offer a glimpse into her joyful anticipation as she embarks on a new chapter in her life.
