Korean host Jung Hyung-don (정형돈, 48) has ventured into the restaurant business, opening a pork cutlet specialty shop named “Doni Doni Kaseukaseu” (도니도니까스까스). Following its official opening, the first customer's dining experience quickly went viral, sparking a polarized debate among netizens. While the reviewer found the dishes generally satisfactory, they also noted the prices were on the higher side and lacked any particularly surprising features. After the video was released, some netizens bluntly stated, “There’s absolutely no reason to make a special trip,” igniting further discussion.
On May 20, the YouTube channel “Jaechelin Guide” (재슐랭가이드) released a video titled “First Reveal! Jung Hyung-don’s Pork Cutlet Restaurant’s Real Review,” sharing their dining experience on the restaurant's official opening day. Before its public launch, Jung had invited friends and family for several days of taste tests, and various celebrity friends had also posted related videos, drawing significant attention to the new establishment. Now that it’s officially open to the public, ordinary customers can finally visit and try the food themselves.
According to the video, the channel's creator anticipated long queues on opening day, so they arrived around 9 AM, well before the 10:30 AM opening time. To their surprise, there was no line, allowing them to become the very first customer to enter the restaurant.

To thoroughly evaluate the menu, the reviewer stated they ordered almost every available item, including two basic pork cutlets, stir-fried kimchi pork cutlet, and cheese pork cutlet, tasting a total of four dishes.
Regarding the taste, their evaluation was generally moderate, stating, “The overall seasoning isn’t too strong, the outer crust is very crispy, and the meat tastes clean.” They felt that while it wasn't an astonishing culinary experience, it offered the familiar flavor of traditional Korean pork cutlets, and was generally quite good. Among the dishes, the stir-fried kimchi pork cutlet was their favorite.

However, the cheese pork cutlet was somewhat disappointing. They noted that when cut, almost all the cheese flowed onto the plate, which was a bit regrettable. Still, they expressed understanding, acknowledging that such issues could be expected on the first day of opening.
When discussing the prices, they admitted that the overall cost seemed a bit high. They also advised consumers not to visit with the expectation of “a super amazing new famous restaurant,” but rather to view it as “a pork cutlet restaurant opened by Jung Hyung-don,” which might align better with the actual experience.
After the video was released, the comment section saw numerous negative reviews. Some netizens felt that even considering the restaurant's location in Seongsu-dong (성수동), a popular commercial district in Seoul, the prices, portion sizes, and quality of the food did not meet expectations.
Some netizens commented: “Looking at how all the cheese from the cheese pork cutlet flowed onto the plate, it doesn’t feel like a place worth making a special trip for,” “I see absolutely no compelling reason to go,” “It feels like the standard of an ordinary neighborhood pork cutlet shop, but with a 2,000 to 3,000 Korean won markup because of the Seongsu-dong location,” and “Is it really necessary to open a restaurant under his own name? It feels like no effort was put into researching the cuisine.”
However, these comments primarily reflect the personal feelings of netizens after watching the video, and not everyone has actually dined at the restaurant. Therefore, they may not fully represent the overall quality of the establishment. As the restaurant has only just officially opened, whether its future food quality, service, and prices will gain consumer approval remains to be seen and validated by more actual dining reviews.
