South Korean actor Lee Joon (이준), who debuted as a member of the boy group MBLAQ, later transitioned to acting and has been active in dramas and variety shows. He recently appeared on a variety program to discuss his views on love and marriage. When asked if he preferred dating fellow celebrities, he candidly stated, "I want to avoid it as much as possible," a remark that has sparked considerable discussion. His past public relationship with actress Jung So-min (정소민) has drawn renewed attention to his current relationship status as he once again shares his thoughts on romance.
On October 9, Lee Joon appeared on the variety show No Plan B 4 (계획없이 놀아줘 4), where he joined Jeon Hyun-moo (전현무) and Kwak Tube (곽튜브) for a meal at a popular restaurant in Ulsan. During their conversation, the topic of dating and marriage arose, and Lee Joon, born in 1988, was asked about his plans for marriage.
Lee Joon responded frankly, saying, "If the opportunity arises, I'll get married; if not, that's fine too. I'm neither particularly eager nor deliberately opposed to marriage." His comments suggest a natural, unforced approach to marriage, indicating he isn't actively pursuing or forcing the issue.
Kwak Tube then pressed further, asking if he preferred dating people also in the entertainment industry. Lee Joon answered without hesitation, "I want to avoid it as much as possible." His straightforward response piqued the curiosity of the other guests on set.

Lee Joon subsequently explained that his ideal relationship is one where both parties don't need to argue and don't harbor resentment towards each other. He stated, "I absolutely don't want to fight, nor do I want to have lingering grudges or make the other person feel wronged. I hope we can get along like Hyun-moo hyung and I do."

Hearing this, Jeon Hyun-moo strongly agreed, stating that he also hopes to find a partner who respects each other's lifestyles. He believes that being together doesn't mean constantly clinging to each other; what's more important is respecting the other person's life, allowing both to be comfortable being themselves.
However, the married Kwak Tube offered a different perspective, jokingly reminding them, "But there's still love in a relationship!" To this, Lee Joon humorously replied, "People still need to live for themselves, not rely on others," drawing laughter from everyone present and adding a fun twist to the discussion about marriage and dating.
In fact, Lee Joon previously had a public relationship with actress Jung So-min. The two met while co-starring in the KBS 2TV K-drama My Father Is Strange (아버지가 이상해) and were photographed on a secret date in May 2017, leading to their relationship being revealed. However, after nearly three years of dating, the couple announced their breakup in May 2020. Reports indicated that the reason for their split was due to drifting apart from busy schedules and lack of time together. Following the breakup, both stated they would continue to support each other as colleagues.
After transitioning from idol to actor, Lee Joon has remained active in both drama and variety fields. His candid sharing of his thoughts on love and marriage, especially his direct statement about not wanting to date within the industry, reveals his expectations for relationships: rather than actively pursuing marriage, he hopes for a relationship where two people can respect each other, be comfortable together, and maintain a relaxed and pressure-free connection.
