South Korean actor Lee Seo-jin (이서진), known for his straightforward and sharp-tongued personality, recently appeared on a variety show where he was asked if he would be willing to film a kiss scene with another man. His initial response was a firm refusal, stating, "I wouldn't do it even if they gave me an Oscar." However, when fellow cast member Kim Kwang-kyu (김광규) proposed a specific condition, Lee Seo-jin immediately changed his mind, exclaiming, "Of course I'd do it then!" The sudden shift in attitude left everyone in stitches.
The latest episode of the SBS variety show Whatever You Do For Me – Secretary Jin (《뭐든지 해드립니다 – 비서진》), which aired on the 23rd, featured Lee Seo-jin and Kim Kwang-kyu acting as one-day managers for actor Son Suk-ku (손석구). After their schedule, the three shared a meal and chatted, with the conversation moving from past acting experiences to bed scenes, leading to a series of hilarious exchanges.
During their conversation, Kim Kwang-kyu suddenly asked Lee Seo-jin, "Didn't you work out a lot for bed scenes in the past?" Son Suk-ku then also asked Lee Seo-jin if he had ever filmed a bed scene, to which Lee Seo-jin admitted he had never done such a scene.
Kim Kwang-kyu then turned the topic to Son Suk-ku, mentioning that he also had a great physique when he filmed bed scenes. To everyone's surprise, Son Suk-ku revealed, "I've even filmed a bed scene with a man." This unexpected answer astonished everyone present. Lee Seo-jin immediately quipped, "No wonder gay people like you!" Son Suk-ku candidly replied, "It's possible." Their back-and-forth kept the laughter going.
Son Suk-ku then explained that he had filmed a bed scene with a man for an independent film in the past. He recalled that it was almost a single take, lasting nearly 7 minutes without any cuts. Lee Seo-jin exclaimed in disbelief, "7 minutes? That's too long!" Son Suk-ku clarified that while the filming process was lengthy, most of the footage was cut during editing, leaving only about 20 seconds in the final version. After hearing Son Suk-ku's experience, Kim Kwang-kyu remarked that just imagining kissing a man felt difficult. He then turned to Lee Seo-jin and asked, "Have you ever kissed a man?" Son Suk-ku, however, suggested that he might consider it for an excellent project, even asking, "What if it's a really good project and absolutely necessary?" But Lee Seo-jin remained firm, directly responding, "I won't do it!" leaving no room for negotiation.
Seeing his resolve, Kim Kwang-kyu pressed further, "Not even if they give you an Oscar?" Surprisingly, Lee Seo-jin remained unmoved, even stating, "No, I don't even want an Oscar." His unwavering stance once again drew laughter from the set.
Seeing Lee Seo-jin's persistence, Kim Kwang-kyu upped the ante with an even more outrageous condition: what if someone offered him 100 million USD, approximately 140 billion Korean Won, to film a bed scene with a man? To everyone's astonishment, Lee Seo-jin, who had been so adamant just moments before, immediately changed his tune, exclaiming, "Oh, then of course I'd do it!" His attitude did a complete 180-degree turn, making everyone burst into laughter.
The production team then added another layer, asking if he would be willing to kiss Kim Kwang-kyu for 113 million USD. Faced with this question, Lee Seo-jin hesitated briefly but ultimately agreed, further intensifying the atmosphere. Unexpectedly, Kim Kwang-kyu backed out, stating he wasn't willing. Lee Seo-jin immediately retorted, "What do you have to lose by doing it with me?" This remark sent the entire set into another round of laughter, once again showcasing his characteristic blunt and unpredictable sense of humor.
