Korean actress Lee Sun-bin (이선빈) and actor Lee Kwang-soo (이광수) have maintained a steady and sweet relationship for nearly nine years, sparking public curiosity about their dynamic. Lee Sun-bin recently appeared on the SBS program “Master Hang-jun” (거장항준), where she offered a rare glimpse into her daily life with Lee Kwang-soo. She revealed that they rarely discuss work, preferring instead to share everyday trivialities, conversations that have become a vital source of emotional support for both.

The episode of “Master Hang-jun” aired on the 15th, hosted by film director Jang Hang-jun (장항준), known for “The King's Man.” Actors Yoo Jae-myung (유재명) and Lee Sun-bin participated in an audition for Jang Hang-jun’s new project. They reminisced about filming a movie together in the past, recalling how daily evening gatherings during their shared accommodation felt like parties, with Lee Sun-bin often singing to liven the atmosphere and make the filming period enjoyable.
Beyond filming anecdotes, Lee Sun-bin also shared her struggles before her debut. She recounted leaving home during her second year of high school, using money earned from part-time jobs, and even borrowing a friend's phone to avoid being tracked. During this period, she sometimes slept in jjimjilbangs (Korean bathhouses) and sought out audition opportunities, finding places nearby to spend the night. This nomadic life continued until she successfully joined a newly established management agency.
Discussing her acting career, Lee Sun-bin stated that she reached a point early on where she was directly offered roles without needing to audition, but securing her very first role was the real challenge. Hearing this, Jang Hang-jun jokingly remarked, “There should be a story of hardship; how disappointing!” prompting Lee Sun-bin to quickly clarify that she indeed faced many difficulties before her official debut.
She also revealed that her last audition was for the drama “38 Task Force.” To gain more exposure and be seen by a wider audience, she proactively sought to appear on the music variety show “I Can See Your Voice.” Lee Sun-bin shared that while the public believed she was invited to the show, it was actually part of a plan she personally orchestrated.
She explained that at the time, there was no precedent for inviting celebrities directly to the show; one had to audition to get a chance. However, her agency stated they couldn't arrange her participation unless she received an official invitation. To overcome this, Lee Sun-bin secretly discussed with the show's writers, asking them to tell her agency that the show had invited her once she passed the audition. She revealed that she auditioned about three times, and the writers kept her secret until now, with some at her company possibly still unaware of the true story.

Lee Sun-bin's proactive nature also reminded host Song Eun-yi (송은이) of her relationship with Lee Kwang-soo. Song Eun-yi chuckled, recalling how Lee Sun-bin had publicly declared Lee Kwang-soo as her ideal type, leading to Lee Kwang-soo eventually pursuing her, and their relationship blossoming. Lee Sun-bin had openly expressed her affection for Lee Kwang-soo during a past appearance on “Running Man,” drawing attention to their interactions.

Interestingly, Jang Hang-jun and Kim Poong (김풍) were unaware that the couple had been dating for many years, prompting Lee Sun-bin to protest on the spot, “That’s too much! We’ve been dating for nine years!” Her amusing reaction filled the set with laughter.
Regarding the secret to their long-lasting relationship, Lee Sun-bin revealed that while both are actors and occasionally exchange work-related thoughts, they usually just share their feelings and don't delve deeply into work specifics.
She explained that they more often discuss seemingly trivial matters, such as how tough a filming process was or who made them feel tired. Lee Sun-bin admitted that both are rather introverted and not adept at expressing dissatisfaction directly; they are peace-seekers who dislike conflict. Therefore, being able to freely confide in each other provides immense comfort to both.

This heartfelt confession revealed that Lee Sun-bin and Lee Kwang-soo's nearly nine-year relationship isn't sustained by deliberately manufactured romance, but by sharing their feelings and understanding each other in everyday life, finding the most comfortable way to be together.
