韓媒揭李善均、GD事件全是「八大女」獨角戲!弦外之音引網酸:不怕被告?

吳喬巴11/23/2023 1 min read

This article isn't available in English yet, so it's shown in its original language

G-Dragon addresses alleged drug rumors in exclusive interview

On the 13th, G-Dragon personally took part in an exclusive interview with Korea's United News TV, firmly maintaining his stance that he has never used drugs. G-Dragon decided to accept the interview in order to convey his innocence to the public and stated that he definitely did not use drugs. Regarding the reason for voluntarily appearing at the police station for an investigation, G-Dragon stated: "Since I haven't taken any drugs and am not related to the drug crime suspicions this time, I appeared voluntarily in order to prove my innocence as soon as possible." On the other hand, some questioned his demeanor on the day of his appearance as seeming to mock the public, to which G-Dragon replied, "Given the situation that day, I was actually a bit bewildered. After all, I'm human and can get nervous, so any misunderstandings that arose were certainly not my intention." When asked about his relationship with the female manager of an entertainment venue and a drug supplier, he reiterated, "I have no relationship with them whatsoever. Let me repeat, all the allegations about me being involved in this drug crime are not true." Regarding the issues that the drugs came from a doctor and the claims by the entertainment venue's female manager about finding suspicious wrapping paper in the restroom that G-Dragon allegedly visited, G-Dragon expressed helplessly, "I can't comment on the doctor's part as I don’t even know who that doctor is. As for the venue manager, I only learned about who they are through media reports." Regarding reports and questions about hair removal prior to attending the investigation, G-Dragon said: "It is completely untrue. Since the start of my album activities last year, it has been more than a year and a half since I have bleached or dyed my hair. To prove my innocence as quickly as possible, I voluntarily submitted my hair, fingernails, and toenails when I appeared in court." Lastly, regarding the public's numerous speculations after seeing G-Dragon's incoherent speech and excessive body movements, G-Dragon revealed, "I started my career as a child star from the age of 6 and have lived in the entertainment industry for 30 years. Because I've spent a long time dancing, my body is a bit more flexible than the average person's." And he continued, "I'm well aware that due to my profession, every word I say carries influence and can also be potentially misinterpreted. Therefore, I've become very cautious about how I speak. Thinking over every word like this has led to such misunderstandings." G-Dragon candidly expressed, "I understand that as a public figure, of course there's a part that must withstand scrutiny by the public. However, to be entangled in this drug incident, to be honest, it truly saddens me. If there are aspects of myself that need correction today, I am willing to accept guidance. The reason I'm taking this interview today is also to convey that, whether it's the media or people who have actually interacted with me, I am just as willing to respond honestly and sincerely to any uncertainties." As soon as the exclusive interview was broadcast, it ignited a hot debate among Korean netizens. The majority of the sentiment was in support of G-Dragon, with many leaving comments such as "You should sue them!", "Hang in there, G-Dragon", "It’s really too much to try and ruin someone who has worked hard for most of their life with such messy rumors", and "What exactly are they trying to cover up by dragging Kwon Ji-yong (G-Dragon) into this?"

Key evidence regarding GD's drug controversy emerges?K-Pop

Key evidence regarding GD's drug controversy emerges?

BIGBANG member GD was recently reported to be involved in drug scandal and has been under police investigation. He voluntarily presented himself to the police for questioning, however, all test results were negative. GD continues to deny any drug-use allegations. Even his older sister, Kwon Dami, can't stand it and harshly criticized, "The police seem to be writing novels". However, according to reports from Korean media, based on the statement of the hostess in the entertainment venue, she told the police, "In early December of last year, I saw GD leaving the restroom and found strange packaging paper. After that, GD's behavior was also not quite normal." To verify this, the police started an investigation into GD. The statement from the female hostess who worked at the adult entertainment place is central to the whole drug case. Korean media revealed that she had sexual transactions with Lee Sun-kyu. She initially reported to the police that Lee Sun-kyu was smoking marijuana, and later also indicated to the police that GD was also suspected. Following up, the police also applied to the court to seize GD's phone to confirm whether there were any drug-related messages. However, the court rejected the request due to "lack of criminal evidence", and even now, a search warrant has not been issued. GD voluntarily appeared at the police station on the 6th, providing urine, hair, and fingernail samples for testing, but the detailed report has not yet been released. However, some Korean media speculate that the investigation against GD started merely because a female head of department found him suspicious, questioning the fairness of the investigation. Additionally, it was rumored yesterday that GD had undergone full body hair removal in order to dodge drug testing, which both GD and his older sister vehemently denied. On the 10th, GD's lawyer, Kim Soo Hyun, officially declared to the media that "The rumor about hair removal being done to destroy evidence is false." The court rejected the request to confiscate GD's communication records due to "lack of evidence of a crime." GD also released a statement through his lawyer, stressing that he never had a full-body hair removal. He said he will actively cooperate with investigations and added, "In addition to the body hair previously requested by the police, we are also willing to voluntarily provide our leg hair." The lawyer also stated that the length of GD's hair already provided was sufficient for analysis. It was also emphasized that GD had never dyed or bleached his hair in the past, once again emphasizing that he would not evade drug testing.

GD attended police investigation after "shaving off all body hair"?K-Pop

GD attended police investigation after "shaving off all body hair"?

BIGBANG's leader G-Dragon previously voluntarily went to the police station for investigation due to suspicion of marijuana use. However, Korean media revealed that GD had shaved all his hair except for his head. The police are currently considering the possibility that GD is attempting to destroy evidence, like other artists who have been investigated for drug incidents in the past. After receiving a tip-off in mid-last month that employees of an entertainment hotel in Gangnam, Seoul were taking drugs, the police are conducting an investigation on the possible use of marijuana by G-Dragon and actor Lee Sun Kyun, which was suspected during the verification process. During this process, G-Dragon voluntarily went to the Incheon Police Department's Drug Crime Investigation Department for his first investigation on the 6th of this month. On that day, G-Dragon underwent a urine collection test, which was determined to be negative in the rapid test results produced on the same day. However, it should be noted that the detection period for drug use through rapid tests is only between 5 to 10 days. Therefore, in order to conduct a more precise identification, the police attempted to collect GD's hair and body hair, but it was found that he had removed all the hair on his body except for his head hair at the time of the investigation. It is reported that GD's side stated that "he usually has a habit of shaving," denying it was to destroy evidence. Finally, the police collected GD's hair and nails and sent them to the National Forensic Service. It is said that an analysis of the nails can confirm drug use approximately 5 to 6 months prior. The reason why full body hair removal is suspected to be a way of destroying evidence is because in the past, some artists used this method to eliminate evidence. In 2019, actors Park Yoo-chun and Ha Il, who were detained and arrested on suspicion of drug use, underwent entire body hair removal and hair dyeing before being investigated by the police, and were eventually confirmed to have used marijuana. Additionally, after the results of the precise examination from the National Science Investigation Research Institute are released, the police will conduct further investigations and then summon G-Dragon for inquiry again.
