After School alumna Nana (나나) recently publicly confirmed her relationship with former BIGBANG member T.O.P (탑). Following the revelation of their romance, Nana's past discussions about her "unique wedding dreams" have resurfaced, particularly her desire to wear a bikini under her wedding dress and host a pool party with guests immediately after the ceremony. Her unconventional ideas have sparked considerable discussion.
On the 2nd, Korean media outlet Dispatch broke the news of Nana and T.O.P's relationship. Both agencies quickly confirmed that the two met while filming a music video, gradually grew closer, and began dating around June of this year. They are currently in a stable relationship.
This marks Nana's first public relationship since her debut. After the news broke, she shared her feelings on a fan communication platform, writing, "You must have been surprised. I am a little shy too. I will date him well and healthily."
With the public announcement of her relationship, Nana's past "wedding fantasies," which she shared before dating, have been unearthed. In February last year, Nana appeared on Lim Seul-ong's (임슬옹) YouTube channel, Ongstyle (옹스타일). Discussing her ideal wedding at the time, she expressed a desire for it to be more like a party than a formal ceremony.
She revealed then, "I want to wear a wedding dress, but with a bikini underneath, and have the wedding at an outdoor pool." Not only did she envision a unique outfit for the bride, but she also had a dress code in mind for the guests, laughing, "Everyone who wants to enter the pool must meet one condition: they have to wear a swimsuit."
Nana excitedly described the scene after the wedding, stating that once the ceremony concluded and everyone gathered, the pool party would officially begin. She joyfully imagined, "After the wedding, everyone gathers, and from that moment, it's a party. 'Mom, take it off!' 'Auntie, Uncle, take it off!' And then everyone has a pool party together."
She also laughed, "Isn't this just a fantasy? I really want to try it." She revealed her desire for a wedding that is free and joyful, unconstrained by traditional forms.
Beyond the wedding format, Nana has also openly discussed her thoughts on marriage and family. When asked how she wanted to spend 2025 as an ordinary person, she candidly replied, "I want to quickly find someone to marry." She also admitted that she "has aspirations for marriage and loves children very much," adding, "In life, my goal is to form an ordinary family with someone I truly love at the right time."
In fact, Nana's dream of a "pool wedding" is not new; she publicly mentioned it 12 years ago. In a 2014 magazine interview, she stated, "When I was young, I wanted to live alone, but at some point, after seeing happy families, my thoughts changed."
At that time, she similarly revealed her hope to have an outdoor pool wedding, wearing a bikini instead of a traditional wedding dress, and even wishing for a swimsuit dress code for guests. Her unique wedding concept had already been disclosed.
It is important to note, however, that all the aforementioned statements were made by Nana before she began dating T.O.P. Currently, both parties have only confirmed they are in a relationship and have not announced any wedding plans.
