NewJeans' latest song is once again facing plagiarism accusations, this time for resemblances to 'Infinity Challenge', resulting in laughter among netizens!
On the 7th, NewJeans released the official music video for their lead track 'Super Shy' ahead of their comeback on the 21st. Upon its release, Korean netizens made a hilarious discovery that sparked laughter among them.
Netizens have drawn comparisons between the scene in which the 'Infinite Challenge' members performed the 'Superstar Gymnastics' and the scene in NewJeans' 'Super Shy' music video where the members showcase a fitness dance.
They left comments such as: 'It's like another version of Infinite Challenge by NewJeans!' 'How did they remember these scenes?' 'Min Hee-jin, come out and explain! Explain it to us quickly!' 'No... This isn't just once or twice!' 'I knew it would be like this, this time it's blatantly included...!'

Ever since their debut in July of last year with songs like "Attention" and "Hype Boy," followed by releases like "Ditto" and "OMG," NewJeans has been drawing attention. With the recent teaser for their comeback song "ASAP," which was released last month on the 27th, several scenes resembling "Infinite Challenge" have been noticed. As a result, GIFs from "Infinite Challenge" have become popular among Korean netizens.
In the midst of these discussions, MBC, the producer of "Infinite Challenge," has utilized such content by uploading a special video titled "Infinite Challenge NewJeans" on the YouTube channel "5minstealer." This has sparked significant interest and become a trending topic among viewers.
Furthermore, NewJeans is set to release their second EP, titled "Get Up," on the 21st. Prior to the full album release, they will unveil two pre-release tracks, "Super Shy" and "NewJeans," on the 7th.
Apart from these two songs, the EP will consist of four additional tracks, namely "ETA," "Cool With You," "ASAP," and "Get Up," making it a total of six songs in the album.
