Park Joon-hyung (박준형) of first-generation K-pop group g.o.d recently revealed that in the past, some junior idols failed to greet their seniors. Instead of confronting them himself, singer Kim Jong-kook (김종국) stepped in to scold them, a powerful move that left a lasting impression.
On Oct. 27, the YouTube channel “The Brian” released its latest video, titled “Park Joon-hyung Comes to Brian’s House and Scolds People All Day,” featuring Park as a guest at singer Brian’s home. During the show, when discussing the importance of manners, Park stated that it is only natural for people to greet others proactively.
Brian, who also values etiquette, agreed, saying, “This is our culture.” Park further emphasized, “It is indeed culture, but it’s also basic manners. Is it that hard to say ‘hello’ when you see someone? Even if you don’t like the person, you can still greet them before leaving.”
He jokingly added that if someone encounters others without even a greeting, he would say, “That person will die on the street someday.” His sharp remarks drew laughter from everyone present.
The production team then curiously asked if he wouldn't privately correct such impolite juniors. Unexpectedly, Park revealed that he had never personally intervened in the past; it was Kim Jong-kook who had reprimanded them on his behalf.

Park recalled that about 25 years ago, a group of junior idols encountered them but left without a greeting. Kim Jong-kook, unable to tolerate it, immediately called them back, shouting, “Hey! Come out here!” He then directly lectured them, standing up for his seniors, bringing this long-ago incident back to light.
