Disabled South Korean YouTuber Park Wi (박위) recently fell while riding a KTX train, allegedly after being tripped by a public service worker's foot. He later released CCTV footage and criticized the worker, sparking ongoing controversy. Now, the distressed reaction of his wife, singer Song Ji-eun (송지은), who was accompanying him, has resurfaced, drawing renewed attention.

Instagram

On December 24, the YouTube channel "Entertainment Backstage President Lee Jin-ho" (연예막후대통령 이진호) released a video titled "Korail Employee Trembling in Fear of Park Wi's Anger... The Reason Wife Song Ji-eun Was Also Scared." The video revealed footage of Park Wi's negotiations with Korea Railroad Corporation (Korail) and the public service worker who assisted him after the KTX fall.

The video shows Park Wi filming the entire situation himself. Lee Jin-ho analyzed that Park Wi's approach seemed to focus on the public service worker who caused the fall, rather than advocating for improvements in the accessible transportation system.

Regarding the public service worker's action of placing their foot on the lift platform, the video explained that due to the specific operating method of the lift, staff must press a certain position with their foot, which explains why the foot was on the platform.

Furthermore, Park Wi had previously only described his acceptance of the apology in text, without releasing his self-filmed footage. This led to questions about whether he selectively disclosed information to create a more favorable public opinion for himself.

In the video, Park Wi questioned a Korail employee, asking, "Is it possible to fall like this?" The Korail employees and public service workers present appeared visibly nervous, described as standing stiffly "as if being punished."

After the incident, Park Wi revealed that he had about 30 X-rays taken of his lower body to check for injuries, telling the doctor, "My lower back hurts a lot." Song Ji-eun, standing nearby, reacted with surprise upon hearing this.

However, after examination, the doctor stated, "No fractures were observed, but it could be a localized injury." The doctor explained that, in most cases, the usual diagnosis involves sufficient rest and continuous monitoring of the injury's recovery.

On December 21, Park Wi also shared details about the KTX incident on his YouTube channel, "WERACLE." He stated that while boarding the train, he was tripped by a public service worker's foot, causing him to be thrown forward and fall. He also released CCTV footage of the scene.

Park Wi also mentioned at the time that although he believed the public service worker "did not do it intentionally," he was still very angry about the worker placing their foot on the ramp.

According to Park Wi, immediately after the accident, the public service worker apologized to him, and their attitude was very polite.

Now, with the subsequent footage of the accident coming to light, details such as Park Wi's demeanor during negotiations with Korail and the worker, Song Ji-eun's startled reaction, and the "30 X-rays" are being discussed, further fueling the KTX fall controversy.
