South Korean YouTuber Park We (박위), who uses a wheelchair, has recently been embroiled in a series of controversies. He previously faced public backlash for releasing CCTV footage of a KTX train accident, with netizens questioning his decision to publicize the mistake of a public service worker who was attempting to assist him. As the controversy continues, an old video of Park We approaching and inviting a female college student for an interaction, filmed approximately 10 months before his marriage to former girl group Secret member Song Ji-eun (송지은), has resurfaced, sparking another wave of discussion.
Recently, a video titled "Park We Asks a Girl He Just Met on a Date?" began circulating on social media. The content is from a video uploaded to the YouTube channel "WERACLE" (위라클) in November 2023, titled "What Happens When a Man in a Wheelchair Asks a Girl He Just Met on a Date?" At the time, Park We and Song Ji-eun were not yet married; their official wedding was scheduled for September 2024, approximately 10 months later. The re-emergence of the video has brought renewed attention to his past content.
In the video, Park We accepts a mission from the production team to approach his ideal type. He searches a library, eventually spotting a female college student and striking up a conversation, asking, "Hello, what are you doing?" The student appears somewhat flustered and replies that she is working on an assignment.

Park We then asks, "Excuse me, could I take a moment of your time?" After getting the student's consent, he immediately invites her to sit in his wheelchair. During the interaction, Park We not only complimented her, saying she "looks as beautiful as a comic book character" when she introduced herself, but also asked if she subscribed to his YouTube channel "WERACLE" and even watched her press the subscribe button on the spot.
Subsequently, the two rode the wheelchair together to find Park We's published book, "WERACLE." Once found, he gifted the book to the student. This interaction video, originally centered around completing a program mission, has recently been unearthed by netizens due to Park We's consecutive controversies. The fact that it was filmed approximately 10 months before his marriage to Song Ji-eun has made it a particular focal point of discussion.

Some netizens have questioned the video's content and purpose, leaving comments such as: "I really don't know what to say, what kind of content is this?" "How is this related to spreading positive influence?" and "Can this really improve public perception of people with disabilities?" These comments have led to a re-examination of the video's presentation and its intended message.
Park We, born in 1987, married Song Ji-eun, three years his junior, in September 2024. The couple frequently shares their daily lives through their YouTube channel and has appeared together on the SBS reality show for couples, "Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 – You Are My Destiny."
Recently, Park We sparked controversy by releasing a KTX accident video. During his disembarkation, an accident occurred when a public service worker, attempting to secure a ramp, inadvertently caused Park We's wheelchair to get stuck, leading to him falling with his wheelchair. After the video's release, some netizens criticized Park We for publicizing the mistake of a worker who was trying to assist him, deeming it inappropriate. The criticism has continued to escalate.
Now, this old video, filmed approximately 10 months before his marriage to Song Ji-eun, showing him approaching and interacting with an unfamiliar female college student, has once again garnered attention. This has brought Park We's past program content back into the spotlight. As various controversies continue to surface, public perception of him and the evaluation of his related videos remain a hot topic.
