South Korean girl group LE SSERAFIM recently kicked off their 'PUREFLOW' world tour. During a performance in London, member Miyawaki Sakura (宮脇咲良) garnered significant attention after a suspected wardrobe malfunction briefly exposed her lower chest. Related videos and photos have since gone viral on social media platforms, attracting numerous likes and shares, though fan reactions have been mixed.
Footage circulating online shows Sakura performing when what appears to be a costume mishap led to an accidental exposure of her lower chest. The clips quickly sparked discussion, with many netizens reacting strongly. Some exclaimed, "I don't even know what to say anymore," while others admitted they were completely overwhelmed. Some even expressed confusion, asking, "What exactly happened here?"

However, not all fans agreed with the widespread sharing of the footage. Another segment of netizens argued that it was likely just a stage costume accident, which some accounts deliberately amplified and spread, even using it to exploit the female idol's body. They found such behavior uncomfortable.
Some fans specifically urged LE SSERAFIM's fanbase, known as FEARNOT, to stop re-sharing the videos. They pointed out that certain accounts disseminating the footage appeared to be doing so to objectify women and gain traffic. Even if Sakura's styling that day was considered stunning, it doesn't justify continuing to spread images that could put her in an embarrassing situation.
Other netizens expressed their displeasure, stating that what was clearly a potential wardrobe malfunction was being used by some to make sexually suggestive comments and deliberately re-share the clips, which they found incomprehensible. Some fans also called for reporting accounts that maliciously spread the content, to prevent a female idol's stage accident from becoming a tool for others to exploit and seek attention.
In fact, discussions sparked by female idols' costume issues during performances are not new. Recently, South Korean girl group aespa held their world tour 'SYNK : COMPLæXITY' in Oakland, USA. Member Yu Ji-min (Karina) (카리나) performed in a cropped top paired with sheer clothing, and during her dance, her inner wear appeared to shift, accidentally exposing her lower chest. The footage also went viral and sparked heated debate.
From Sakura to Karina, similar incidents have not only fueled discussions among netizens about stage styling but have also led some fans to focus on the issue of whether female idols are being objectified. Many believe that when faced with images of suspected wardrobe malfunctions, artists' feelings should be respected, and the content should not be continuously re-shared without their consent, preventing an accidental stage incident from escalating into another online controversy.
