South Korean actor Choi Woo-shik (최우식) is once again at the center of controversy. A social media post recently went viral, in which a self-proclaimed flight attendant shared an experience with Choi Woo-shik on a flight, alleging his attitude was very unfriendly. The post has ignited fervent discussion among netizens.
According to the flight attendant's account, she initially did not recognize Choi Woo-shik when he boarded. After a basic greeting, she approached him to inquire about meal services and other needs. To her surprise, he reportedly frowned and then said to his manager, "What are you doing? They are talking to me," in what seemed to be an annoyed tone.
The flight attendant recalled her feelings at the time, admitting she couldn't help but wonder, "Where did this kind of person come from?" It was only later, after checking the passenger manifest, that she realized the passenger was actor Choi Woo-shik.
Following the revelation, the post quickly sparked discussion on social media. As Choi Woo-shik has previously drawn attention for other controversies, some netizens were not surprised by the content, with comments such as: "Besides being accused of racism, he's also impolite," "It's this person again," and "This is the second time I've heard something like this."
Other netizens sarcastically remarked that while plastic surgeons can change one's appearance, they cannot change one's personality. However, these comments represent individual reactions to the allegations and do not confirm the veracity of the incident.
Choi Woo-shik was indeed criticized in the past after a fan accused him of racial discrimination. Now, another online post, purportedly from a flight attendant, detailing his alleged behavior on a plane, has reignited the discussion.
Previously, Choi Woo-shik attended Paris Fashion Week. He appeared in a red Harrington jacket, drawing significant fan attention on the streets of Paris and at the event. However, a fan who specifically traveled to support Choi Woo-shik later shared her experience on social media, describing the encounter as "heartbreaking and terrifying." From the video she posted, she appeared to be one of the few fans present specifically for Choi Woo-shik, having prepared numerous posters and cheering materials, hoping to get an autograph from her idol in person.
However, the fan alleged that Choi Woo-shik signed autographs for other fans but not for her. She believed that despite being present and trying to get his attention, she was deliberately ignored, leading her to suspect it might be related to class differences or racial factors.
To substantiate her claim, she subsequently released the full video of the incident. In the video, she can be heard repeatedly saying "Please" to Choi Woo-shik, hoping he would notice her, but he reportedly did not respond.
Currently, this alleged flight experience is based solely on a one-sided social media post. It remains to be seen whether Choi Woo-shik himself or his agency will respond to these claims.
