Korean actress Seo Yea-ji (서예지) has confirmed her appearance in the new film 'Island of Gold' (금월도), signaling her return to the big screen. This marks her first film project in approximately five years, following her last movie 'Recalled' (기억의 밤), which was released in April 2021.
Seo Yea-ji previously enjoyed an active career in both film and television, showcasing her versatile acting range through diverse roles. However, in 2021, she became embroiled in a 'gaslighting controversy' after allegations surfaced that she had emotionally manipulated her former boyfriend, actor Kim Jung-hyun (김정현). This was followed by successive scandals involving accusations of school bullying and academic record fabrication, which temporarily impacted her entertainment activities. With her confirmed role in a new film, public attention is now focused on whether this will allow her to revitalize her career.

5. Seo Yea-ji's comeback seems to be a running gag among reporters.
6. She even performs in plays, what are they talking about?
7. She's clearly been active, yet there are always news articles about her comeback.
8. How many comebacks is this? It seems like they're intentionally publishing these articles now.
9. She's always been active, so what does it mean to keep saying 'comeback'?
10. Are they intentionally publishing these articles?… Every time she has a project, they call it a comeback.
11. Playing with words ㅋㅋㅋ She immediately did a drama, but they only count movies. She's had several comebacks already, the hype is disgusting.
12. But I really like Seo Yea-ji's voice… I was so shocked the first time I watched 'It's Okay to Not Be Okay' (but because of the male actor, I couldn't watch it again, so sad…). Even criminals can make a comeback, why can't Seo Yea-ji? ㅜ What happens between a man and a woman, they'll handle it themselves… I support her activities.
13. She works hard like an ox here, but every time they call it a comeback.
14. How many comebacks is this? It feels like she's always been active ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
15. She's always making comebacks; is it because her acting is too strange or the drama content is too weird that her buzz has decreased?
16. Seo Yea-ji's news is always the same ㅋㅋㅋ Every time they say 'comeback,' then people who don't follow Seo Yea-ji's activities say, 'If male actors can come out, why can't Seo Yea-ji? Support her!' ㅋㅋㅋ (No, she's already out…)
17. She's never rested; why do they keep saying 'comeback'?
18. She also did a play recently and held a fan meeting in 2024. She's done everything she's supposed to, what are they talking about? ㅋㅋㅋ Why do people who don't even care keep appearing and saying, 'Why can't she make a comeback?' They're not even fans of the actress; they just want to use her to attack male actors.
19. How many comebacks is this already ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
20. She makes a comeback every time, but no one cares so they don't know… Are they saying actresses can't make a comeback? Stop attacking actresses; it's ridiculous.
21. Who would think she's been reflecting all this time?
22. Pretending previous comebacks didn't exist is hilarious ㅋㅋㅋ
23. She's always been active, just without much impact… Why is every casting called a comeback? ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
24. Her aura, voice, and acting are all excellent.
25. Even if you don't care about Seo Yea-ji, news about her activities always trends ㅋㅋㅋㅋ Those long-winded supporters are so funny… ㅋㅋㅋ Please pay more attention.

27. Every time they have to include some private life controversy, making it seem like she had no projects because of it, and then the comments turn into, 'What reason is there for her not to make a comeback?' ㅋㅋㅋ She's clearly been active all along.
28. Her acting is great; I hope she appears in more dramas.
29. Why does she always say 'comeback'? She's always had projects. I hope her good acting allows her to keep filming, but every time she appears, they publish these annoying news articles; it's enough.
30. No, she's always been active ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
31. She's always been active ㅋㅋㅋㅋ Every time she has a project, they publish news as if she's returning after a hiatus.
32. She's always been filming projects, but every time they publish 'comeback' news.
33. Every new project is called a comeback; it's baffling. How many times has she 'returned'? I've only seen 'comeback' news every time she has a new project.
34.
Seo Yea-ji's article pattern is truly always the same: Title: Comeback. Comments: If male actors who committed crimes can be active, what's wrong with Seo Yea-ji?
35. She's never rested.
36. She's had several comebacks already.
