Girls' Generation (소녀시대) member Tiffany Young (티파니 영) and actor Byun Yo-han (변요한) first met while working on the Disney+ K-drama “Uncle Samsik” (삼식이 삼촌). Their on-screen partnership blossomed into a real-life romance, and the couple officially registered their marriage in February this year, becoming legally wed. Byun Yo-han recently appeared on a variety show, where he was immediately pressed by host Yoo Jae-suk (유재석): “Why didn’t you invite me to your wedding?” A startled Byun Yo-han quickly clarified, “It was really just family!”
On the May 29 broadcast of SBS’s “Whenever There’s Time” (틈만나면,), Byun Yo-han and Noh Jae-won (노재원) appeared as guests, joining hosts Yoo Jae-suk and Yoo Yeon-seok (유연석) on a trip to Incheon. During the show, Yoo Jae-suk brought up Byun Yo-han’s recent marriage registration with Tiffany Young.
Yoo Jae-suk directly asked Byun Yo-han, “Why didn’t you invite me to your wedding?” Byun Yo-han laughed as he explained that their wedding was a quiet, family-focused affair.
He revealed that Yoo Jae-suk had even sent him a congratulatory message at the time, saying, “Congratulations on your marriage. If you have a wedding, you must invite me.” However, no invitation was sent because Byun Yo-han and Tiffany Young ultimately chose to have “a quiet wedding with only family.”
Yoo Jae-suk also noted that small, family-focused weddings seem to be a growing trend in the entertainment industry. He jokingly remarked that ever since Kim Jong-kook (김종국), “secret weddings” appear to have become a new phenomenon, with more and more celebrities opting to invite only family, which he admitted left him feeling a little disappointed.
Beyond the wedding, Byun Yo-han also offered a rare update on their honeymoon. He mentioned that he had only returned to Korea the day before. “I only came back to Korea yesterday. We went on our honeymoon a bit later, so I just got back yesterday,” he shared, indicating that their romantic getaway had recently concluded.
As for their honeymoon destination, Byun Yo-han revealed that the couple first vacationed in Hawaii before heading to Tiffany Young’s hometown of San Francisco. He stated, “We went to Hawaii, and since my wife’s hometown is San Francisco, we went there too.” When asked if he was satisfied with the honeymoon, Byun Yo-han gave a brief yet sweet reply: “It was really good.”
Amusingly, Byun Yo-han had specifically returned to Korea to film “Whenever There’s Time,” even joking, “If it weren’t for ‘Whenever There’s Time,’ I wouldn’t have come back at all,” which drew laughter from the set. Yoo Jae-suk immediately responded, “Thank you,” creating a playful and entertaining exchange between the two.
