TWICE's Chaeyoung, Zion.T Deny Breakup Rumors; Agencies Threaten Legal Action
Earlier reports claiming a breakup between TWICE member Son Chae-young (손채영) and singer-producer Kim Hae-sol (김해솔), known as Zion.T, have been swiftly denied by both artists' agencies. The companies emphasized that the couple maintains a good relationship and is still dating, warning that they would not hesitate to take legal action if unconfirmed speculative reports continue.
On May 14, the agencies representing Chae-young and Zion.T issued a joint official statement, asserting, "Today's reports regarding Zion.T and Chae-young's breakup are clearly baseless." The companies further stated that after confirming with both artists, they are currently "maintaining a good relationship and continuing their beautiful courtship."
Beyond denying the breakup rumors, both agencies adopted a firm stance against false information, stating they would continue to monitor the situation to prevent artists from suffering reputational damage due to groundless speculative reports, inaccurate information, and malicious posts.
They also warned, "We will take strong legal action against sensational reports based on unconfirmed facts and the dissemination of related content."
Earlier, a Korean media outlet cited sources from the music industry, reporting that Chae-young and Zion.T had ended their romantic relationship and returned to being industry seniors and juniors. The report claimed their relationship naturally drifted apart due to busy work schedules, leading to a breakup.
With both agencies now personally refuting the claims and emphasizing that the breakup news is "clearly not true," the romantic entanglement has taken a sudden turn.
Meanwhile, Chae-young is currently in a period of career transition. Coinciding with her contract renewal with JYP Entertainment, she established her independent label "LIL FANTASY" to officially launch solo activities. In addition to TWICE's group schedule, she will independently decide on her future individual activities.
