K-pop Girl Group VVS Announces Indefinite Hiatus, Deletes All Social Media Amid Financial Struggles

Korean girl group VVS has reportedly ceased activities. The group recently informed fans via their official Patreon account that they would no longer be active as a group, acknowledging challenges such as discontinued financial support and insufficient operational resources. Following the announcement, speculation arose about a potential disbandment, and the subsequent deletion of all their social media accounts has led many fans to believe there is no possibility of a return.

VVS released a statement on their official Patreon account, personally updating fans on the group's status. The announcement stated that VVS "will no longer be active as a group at this stage," attributing the decision to a loss of financial backing and a lack of relevant operational systems and resources.

While the wording of the announcement did not explicitly declare a disbandment, seemingly leaving open the possibility of future activities, the group's subsequent actions have led to increased pessimism regarding their future.

Fans discovered that all of VVS's official social media accounts have been deleted, including their YouTube channel, where music videos (MVs) were previously uploaded. This comprehensive removal of their online presence has led to the announcement being interpreted as the group having officially concluded its activities.

VVS officially debuted in April 2025 with the song "Tea." After their debut, the group garnered attention due to several controversies, including mentions of fellow girl group ILLIT and allegations of sexualization concerning underage members, sparking significant public discussion.

Subsequently, the group underwent lineup changes and, with shifts in their operational structure, transitioned to developing as independent artists. However, even with attempts to adjust their direction, VVS's activities did not proceed smoothly.

VVS's last comeback was in August 2026, with the release of "After Hours." The news of the group ceasing activities, coming so soon after their last return, has left fans in shock.

Currently, the official announcement does not directly use the word "disbandment." However, considering the discontinuation of financial support, insufficient operational resources, and the complete deletion of official social media and YouTube channels, whether VVS will ever reunite remains uncertain.
