[KPOP BUZZ] A StarShip Entertainment Staff Caught Being An 'Internet Troll' After Leaving Vague Comments On New Jeans' Photos

In the past few years, the competition in the KPop industry has become increasingly fierce, with many entertainment companies brainstorming ways to promote their own artists. Despite its good image in the show business market, there have also been many negative incidents. Recently, netizens discovered some ambiguous comments left by a netizen under the magazine photos of a New Jeans member, provoking attention from the fans and other netizens. Recently, netizens have been seeing a 'mysterious' netizen always leaving ambiguous comments under the photoshoot posts of a member of the girl group, New Jeans. In the photo below,  you can see the screenshot of the comment made by the mystery 'netizen'  saying "Hmm.." under Minji's photoshoot post for VOGUE. However, that was not the first time. The said individual also left the same comments under the other members' photoshoot posts, leaving many netizens baffled. Such behavior provoked suspicion among fans and netizens as the person in question always leave compliments on the photoshoots posts of the members of the girl group, IVE. In one of Ahn Yujin's pictorial, she posted "This is my first encounter with Ahn Yu Jin, I hope everyone can love her more," which is very different from the comments she leaves under New Jeans' members posts. She also commented a lot of praise on IVE member Liz's pictorial, saying "Great work! Our Liz is the best". In response, netizens dug up the identity of the commenter, who turned out to be a staff of StarShip Entertainment. The person's identity was revealed which made her turn her account into private, although it had already sparked a heated discussion among Korean netizens. Numerous netizens have expressed their thoughts after discovering the identity of the commenter. Some of them said: "I really hate how StarShip always has many hidden motives" "If it was just a regular fan doing this it would be fine, but it's actually the high-ranking official of an entertainment company, is this a mistake?" "I really feel like this is causing IVE to receive backlash" "Don't they feel ashamed at all?" "This is not too surprising, didn't they even take the PD from Produce to a place of entertainment?"

Why did Netflix cut Yoo Ah In but leave T.O.P alone? Netizens are shocked and accusing them of double standards!K-Pop

Why did Netflix cut Yoo Ah In but leave T.O.P alone? Netizens are shocked and accusing them of double standards!

On the 29th, Netflix officially announced the cast lineup for "Squid Game 2." In addition to the original cast members Lee Jung-jae, Gong Yoo, Wi Ha-joon, and others, they have also added new members including Im Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Gyu-young, Park Sung-joon, Cho Yu-ri, Lee Byung-hun etc. The cast is incredibly impressive. However, former member of BIGBANG, T.O.P, had previously faced drug-related controversies and took a hiatus from the entertainment industry. Now, after nine years, he is making a comeback as an actor under his real name, "Choi Seung-hyun," which has garnered significant attention from numerous netizens. Furthermore, Korean media outlet Dispatch reported that T.O.P's successful casting in the second season was allegedly due to his close friendship with the lead actor, Lee Jung-jae. It was revealed that Lee Jung-jae and his girlfriend, Lim Se-ryung, used to frequent T.O.P's private residence for their dates, sparking speculation about the nature of their relationship. Regarding this matter, the side of Lee Jung-jae has come forward to clarify and emphasize that he has no authority to interfere or influence the casting process. They have also denied the rumors of exerting pressure on the casting decision. As the rumors continue to escalate, Netflix has finally issued an official statement in response to the situation. Netflix stated, "Directors, writers, and production companies, as creators, have the authority to decide the casting of actors for Netflix productions based on their creative vision. Netflix respects and does not interfere with the casting process, as we believe in honoring the creative choices made by the creators involved." Unexpectedly, after Netflix's official statement was released, it triggered even more backlash from netizens. Many of them now suspect Netflix of having double standards. They argue that when faced with Yoo Ah In drug controversy in the past, Netflix swiftly cut or replaced him in their production. However, now that T.O.P is involved, Netflix is adopting a stance of respect. This has led people to believe that Netflix is deliberately accepting and applying different levels of tolerance towards artists involved in drug-related issues. Comedian Park Myung-soo shared his perspective on the issue during a radio program. He expressed the belief that even if someone makes a mistake, they should be given a chance to start fresh. Park Myung-soo stated, "If I were given the opportunity to start over, I would put in even more effort as a way of gratitude." His opinion, which goes against the prevailing sentiment, has gained support from many netizens.

(G)I-DLE Shuhua's appearance as a one-day talent scout on 'Workman' sparks mixed reactions among netizens! Blunt comments about appearance leave the internet stunned!

In the latest episode of the YouTube channel 'Workman,' (G)I-DLE member Shuhua and actor Yoo Seon-ho teamed up as talent scouts, triggering a mixed response from viewers. In the video, Shuhua invited actor Yoo Seon-ho, who was a trainee during the same period as her, to appear on the show. Shuhua playfully told Yoo Seon-ho, 'You know that I was ranked first in the company (CUBE), right?' At the start of their work, they proceeded with an SNS selection. A representative from CUBE Entertainment's rookie development team was also present, explaining, 'For the age limit, we can only consider those born in 2008 or earlier, but there are no restrictions for younger ages. We are searching for individuals with a fierce and slim appearance, as well as those who are tall.' Shuhua jokingly remarked, "Well, let's find someone who resembles me, Shuhua-style." They continued scrolling through SNS, and upon seeing someone's post, Yoo Seon-ho quickly remarked, "She looks a lot like my sister from certain angles, and it doesn't seem like she heavily edits her photos." He then sent a private message to that person. They proceeded to check the trainees' journals, and after touring the practice room, they embarked on the street casting process. The staff from the company provided some guidance, stating, "We will approach individuals who are attractive and wearing school uniforms. This way, we can observe their natural appearance. If we feel they don't fit our criteria, we can simply move on." They also added, "Finding someone suitable depends on luck as well." After exploring the popular student hangout spots, the two of them couldn't help but sigh during the street casting process. They said, "I looked at his profile, and I feel a bit disappointed," "Sometimes we unintentionally stare too obviously," and "When passing by, let's just take a quick glance without being too obvious!" However, in the end, they were unable to successfully complete the task. However, after the video was released, it generated mixed reactions among netizens. Some praised Shuhua for her caring attitude towards junior trainees and her willingness to openly criticise the company, finding it highly entertaining. They commented, "Shuhua's support for her fellow trainees is amazing, and I love how she doesn't hold back when it comes to speaking her mind about the company. It's really refreshing." Others appreciated the chemistry between Shuhua and Yoo Seon-ho, finding their interactions engaging and enjoyable.
