On the afternoon of the 9th, SHINee's leader Onew posted a message saying, "It's not a big deal, but I think some people might be surprised, so I think I should explain it, so I'm writing this." He went on to say, "The point is! I'm just going to recover well and come back!"
Onew then wrote, "I'm sorry for worrying many people, and I'd appreciate it if you think that I'm just taking a break for SHINee's future activities. Considering this time, I've thought a lot and my condition hasn't improved yet, so I think there might be misunderstandings or mistakes."
Next, Onew explained, "However, in order to better maintain what I want to keep, because the future is more important, I made this decision.", "I will think about how to make each part of life meaningful and come back healthy. I'm sorry for worrying you."
Previously, his agency, SM Entertainment, said, "Recently, Onew's physical condition has been poor, he has undergone consultation and examination, and the doctors think he needs rest and treatment." Therefore, the company announced that Onew will temporarily stop activities. Onew will not participate in the activities of the 8th regular album and concerts, and will take a break for a while. Subsequently, many fans were concerned about Onew's condition, and it seems that Onew is directly explaining his situation.
In addition, SHINee successfully completed the 15th anniversary fan meeting last month and will hold a three-day solo concert 'SHINee WORLD VI [PERFECT ILLUMINATION]' at Seoul Olympic Park KSPO DOME from the 23rd to the 25th. At the same time, they will release the 8th regular album 'HARD' on the 26th.
This situation serves as a reminder to fans that even stars have their pressures and difficulties. They need time to rest and recover, and prepare for future work. While Onew's temporary exit has attracted attention and concern from fans, it has also brought understanding and support for him. The decision, which respects the health of idols and promises better performances in the future, is commendable.
Meanwhile, even though Onew is temporarily inactive, the other members of SHINee are still working hard, continuing to perform, and also preparing for a new album. Whenever Onew comes back, SHINee will continue to bring amazing performances and music to fans as always. Fans of SHINee, please look forward to their new album and concert, and send the warmest blessings to Onew, hoping that he can recover soon and return to the stage. Let's wait together!
