On the 11th, Jooheon of Monsta X shared a lengthy handwritten letter on the official fan club of Monsta X, carefully expressing his thoughts. In the letter, he wrote, "The time spent with our members and MONBEBE (name of the fans) is incredibly precious and brings me so much happiness, so I wanted to share this moment with everyone. Today, I made the decision to share this news."

Jooheon continued, "I have made the decision to enlist on July 24," he shared. "I deliberated extensively on when to make this announcement. The time is approaching faster than I anticipated, and I have concerns about how MONBEBE will react upon reading this news." He publicly disclosed the fact that he will soon be enlisting.

Jooheon also shared his sentiments, stating, "During fan meetings, I hope to see fans smiling with joy, and I also want to reciprocate those feelings. That's why I made the decision to share this with everyone today." He added, "Although there isn't much time left, I still worry that MONBEBE might feel regretful. However, I hold onto the memories of each fan's happiness, so even if I could go back in time, I would still choose to express myself like this today."

He also said, "Military service is something I must do, and I will complete this task with full confidence." He comforted his fans by saying, "I am not leaving forever, so don't worry. Therefore, Jooheon became the third member of MONSTA X to enlist. Previously, team leader Shownu began his substitute service as a community service worker in July 2021, while Min Hyuk enlisted as an active duty soldier in April and is currently serving.

On the other hand, MONSTA X, including Jooheon, held a two-day fan meeting titled "MONSTA X 7TH OFFICIAL FANCLUB MONBEBE FAN-CONCERT 'MX FRIENDS'" at the KSPO DOME in Seoul Olympic Park (Olympic Gymnastics Arena) on the 8th and 9th.
