The female group FIFTY FIFTY's member Keena suddenly abandoned the exclusive contract and halted the lawsuit for false accusations, bringing a new dimension to the conflict with the management company ATTRAKT. ATTRAKT also stated that they will closely monitor and engage in discussions.
It is reported that Keena has submitted a repeal of provisional disposition to halt the effect of an exclusive contract to the Seoul High Court via her legal representative on the 16th. The legal representative of FIFTY FIFTY explained, "Only when Keena appoints a new legal representative and submits a repeal will the lawsuit of the remaining three members continue."
Earlier, the Seoul Central District Court rejected FIFTY FIFTY's application for a temporary injunction on exclusive contract effectiveness, stating, "It's hard to determine whether the obligation to provide liquidation information was violated, and it's also difficult to see it as a violation of health management obligations. Ending the business with The Givers does not violate the exclusive contract." In response to this, the members immediately filed a protest, however, today there are rumors that member Keena has temporarily stopped the lawsuit.
In response, ATTRAKT informed the Korean media that Keena is considering a return to the company. They mentioned that they intend to have a discussion with Keena to understand her intentions and the direction for resuming her activities. However, as of now, she has not yet reached out to CEO Jeon Hong-jun.
FIFTY FIFTY, with their popular song "Cupid", made history in K-POP by hitting the Billboard Hot100 chart. However, in June, a sudden twist occurred when all four members, through their legal representative, applied to the court for an injunction to terminate their exclusive contracts, causing a huge uproar.
Regarding this, ATTRAKT's representative,Jeon Hong-jun, expressed hope for reconciliation with the members and continually implied that activities could be resumed at any time. However, the members have been silent for 2 months, hiding behind their families and lawyers, and adamantly stating, "We will never go back."
In August, the members suddenly expressed their feelings through a handwritten letter on their private IG, saying, "Taking this incident as an opportunity, we hope to rectify our relationship with the management company, which has been forcing us to work in the wrong way. We will gather and submit evidence and information to support the truth, and we will make an effort to dismiss any misconceptions and misunderstandings." Recently, the members once again exposed allegations that the company disregards members' health conditions.
