The "7 million Korean won cookies" featured on "Two Days and One Night" received severe backlash online! Yeongyang County Office has finally issued an apology statement.
In a recent episode of the Korean variety show "2 Days & 1 Night," the members visited a traditional market in Yeongyang, North Gyeongsang Province to purchase cookies. However, it caused a heated discussion when they discovered that a bag of cookies was priced at a staggering 70,000 Korean won.

Recently, an article titled "Explanation on the Cookie Controversy in the KBS variety show 2 Days & 1 Night" appeared on the message board of Yeongyang County Office. The article, written by Yeongyang County Office, expressed profound apologies to the viewers, stating, "We deeply apologise for the unfortunate incident. The traditional cookies featured in the episode of 2 Days & 1 Night, which aired on the 4th of this month, were priced at 140,000 Korean won, causing significant public outrage.

The external vendor selling 'traditional cookies' during the 18th Yeongyang Wild Vegetable Festival (from May 11 to 14, lasting 4 days and 3 nights) has no affiliation with the merchants in Yeongyang's traditional market.

"Yeongyang is a small and humnle place where everyone is closely connected. If such exorbitant prices were to be charged here, it would quickly become known, making it nearly impossible to sustain business. It is truly regrettable that the burden of the losses falls entirely on the merchants in Yeongyang's traditional market."
