On the 27th, Son Dongwoon, debuted as a member of BEAST, posted a handwritten letter on his Instagram to announce his marriage. The news came as a shock to many of his fans.

In the letter, Son Dongwoon expressed, "It's been a while since I wrote a handwritten letter like this. I know this news might come as a shock and may make some of you feel upset. That's why I approach this with great care and nervousness." He carefully wrote these opening words.

Son Dongwoon then went on to say, "But because I wanted to share this news with all of you first, I mustered up the courage to write this letter. I sincerely appreciate your understanding and concern. At some point of my life, I met someone who I wanted to journey with, and we have decided to celebrate our wedding in September." He revealed this information.

Additionally, Son Dongwoon stated, "Because my fiancée is not involved in the same industry as me, we have decided to keep the wedding ceremony as a low profile event, only inviting close family and friends. I apologise for not being able to personally share this news with all of you during this time and for having to keep it brief."

Son Dongwoon continued, saying, "I first met all of you when I was 19 years old, and throughout my time at home and with the group, I have always been the maknae. You have given me so much encouragement and love. Whether it was during my debut or now, I'm still someone who is lacking. However, I am well aware that it is thanks to the unimaginable love from all of you that I have been able to grow to this extent today." He expressed his gratitude to the fans.

Lastly, Son Dongwoon concluded by stating, "I am grateful to the Highlight members who have continuously supported and trusted me. I will strive harder than ever before, in a more mature manner, to fulfil my responsibilities and reciprocate the love I have received. Thank you for patiently reading through my humble words." With sincere gratitude, he ended the handwritten letter.

n response to this, dancer Cha HyunSeung, who often collaborates with Sunmi, left a comment expressing his blessings: "Wow! Congratulations! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥"
