Controversy arises as "The Idol" premieres with mature content! BLACKPINK's Jennie shares her thoughts on starring in the show!

Jennie, a member of the popular girl group BLACKPINK, made her debut in the American drama series "The Idol." After the first episode was released, it caused controversy due to its mature content, resulting in a 19+ rating. Jennie also shared her thoughts within the first episode. 

In the earlier released first episode of "Idol Whirlpool," we see Jocelyn (portrayed by Lily-Rose Depp), a popular singer who is shaken by the impact of her mother's passing. After canceling her tour, she is now preparing for a comeback.

Jocelyn goes all out for the photo shoot of her comeback album, even appearing in explicit scenes at a nightclub. The content pushes the boundaries. In the first episode, Jennie plays the role of Jocelyn's friend and backup dancer.

Jennie expressed her thoughts on her appearance in the scene, saying, 'Although I didn't have much time to practice the dance, I'm thankful that it's something I often do, so I'm really grateful to the production team.'
