K-PopBABYMONSTER's debut song released!
YG Entertainment's new girl group BABYMONSTER has been consistently releasing teaser images and single previews over the past couple of months. Previously, there were rumors about their debut set for the end of September, but they haven't debuted yet. Recently, it was officially announced that they will make their debut at the end of November. Today, they finally released the audio and music video teaser for their debut song "BATTER UP." According to the Korean media outlet "startoday," on the 26th, YG Entertainment uploaded a promotional poster for "BATTER UP" on their official Instagram, raising the expectations of music fans around the world to the highest level. The members also expressed, "Being able to realize a dream we've had for a long time, we are truly very happy," "In order to showcase a uniqueness that has never been seen before, one that is solely ours, we have put forth our greatest effort," "Since our debut, we have been preparing songs in order to repay the fans for their endless waiting, and we hope everyone looks forward to it." BabyMonster has portrayed its unique presence through "Batter Up," a song imbued with YG's rich hip-hop vibe, brimming with confidence and energy. The strong rhythmic beat of the song and the tense alarm sound featured in the teaser also leave a lasting impression. The music video for "Batter Up" was successfully completed over the course of 5 days. It features a refreshing swing, a highlight dance of watching balls fly over the fence, and group dances on an overwhelming scale that maximize the charm of the members and showcase the aesthetic beauty of the MV. Regrettably, "Batter Up," which does not involve Teddy, known as the hit song producer, sparks curiosity among the audience about whether it will become a hit or not. Teddy is the ace producer of YG Entertainment, participating in most of the works of 2NE1 and BIGBANG, and he has written and composed songs for BLACKPINK, creating hit tracks such as "Ddu-Du Ddu-Du," "How You Like That," and "Pink Venom." In 2016, THE BLACK LABEL was established as a music label, and this year, TEDDY has officially confirmed his participation in the Mnet audition program "I-LAND2." Alongside this, he is collaborating on the launch of a new girl group under the WAKEONE label. As a result, most netizens believe that this girl group is poised to be BLACKPINK's successor. However, the debut song teaser for BABYMONSTER has already surpassed 8 million views. Therefore, regardless of whether they have TEDDY's support or are considered BLACKPINK's successors, there is already a great deal of anticipation for their future developments.
K-PopBABYMONSTER‘s teaser video surpasses 400 Million!
After a 7-year hiatus, YG Entertainment introduced a brand new girl group called "BABY MONSTER." Even before their debut, they already accumulated millions of fans, with each member having their own unique characteristics and specialties. Previously, due to Ahyeon's health issues, it was announced that she would withdraw from the group and not participate in their debut. The group will debut as a six-member ensemble consisting of RORA, CHIQUITA, Pharita, HARAM, Asa, and Ruka, releasing their debut song and music video simultaneously at midnight on the 27th. Pharita, hailed by Korean media as the second Lisa, emerged victoriously from a highly competitive YG Entertainment audition with a ratio of 1226 to 1. Not only does she possess a remarkable and ethereal appearance, but at just 18 years old, her dancing and singing talents are quite astonishing. Pharita has a wonderfully beautiful singing voice that is mesmerizing! This is the fourth video of Pharita released after RORA, CHIQUITA, and Asa, capturing the hearts of fans worldwide instantly with cool gestures and attractive expressions. Despite numerous private photos and images from their trainee days being leaked, and issues such as Ahyeon leaving the group due to health problems, the members of BABYMONSTER have garnered overwhelming popularity due to their exceptional talents in dance, rap, and visual appeal. Their musical prowess and charm have captured the public's attention. Moreover, the official teaser videos have collectively amassed over 470 million views. Through successive teaser videos gradually unveiling the mysterious veil, the public's anticipation for the members' debut has increased. Up until now, the videos that have been released not only showcase outstanding appearances and YG's distinctive hip-hop style but also the members' ability to maximize this style with their expressive performances, presenting a diverse range of charms. It's unpredictable just how amazing the debut song will be! Additionally, the official channels and Instagram, besides revealing the members' faces and practice clips, have also featured encouragement from YG Entertainment's senior artists, including Winner's Kang Seungyoon and Lee Seunghoon, previously from BLACKPINK Lisa and Jennie, AKMU, and YG's in-house choreographer Leejung. This has greatly heightened anticipation for the future development of BABYMONSTER.
K-PopAhyeon won't debut with BABYMONSTER due to health reasons, YG Entertainment confirms
YG Entertainment's new girl group BABYMONSTER will officially debut with six members. However, Ahyeon, who is said to resemble senior group member BLACKPINK's Jennie, has been excluded from the debut member lineup. According to a report from the Korean media outlet "News1" today, Ahyeon will not debut as a member of BABYMONSTER due to personal reasons. As a result, BABYMONSTER, originally planned to debut with seven members, will now confirm their debut with six members, excluding Ahyeon. However, Korean media also mentioned that Ahyeon might still have a chance to join BABYMONSTER in the future. Ahyeon gained some fame even before making her debut because she resembles BLACKPINK's Jennie. When YG introduced Ahyeon in February this year, they praised her as an "all-around ACE," complimenting her as "not only a dancer with perfect main vocal abilities but also as a trainee with explosive rapping skills, embodying a well-rounded set of talents." Especially in the promotional video at that time, YG's chief producer Yang Hyun-suk praised Ahyeon, saying, "She is a warrior with many weapons, and every time I see her, I wonder how she can have it all." Due to personal reasons, Ahyeon will ultimately not debut as a member of BABYMONSTER. The final debut line-up will consist of the Korean members Haram and Rora, Thai members Parita and Chiquita, and the Japanese members Ruka and Asa, making a total of six members officially debuting. After waiting for such a long time, the news has disappointed netizens who expressed their thoughts: "Isn't Ahyeon the Center? She's the most anticipated member, what a pity," "She should debut solo! She's the most eye-catching member!" and so on. BABYMONSTER is YG's girl group debuting after 7 years following BLACKPINK, and they are set to debut on the 27th. BABYMONSTER's official YouTube channel has already garnered over 3.15 million subscribers before their official debut, and their total view count has surpassed 450 million, attracting significant public attention.
