D.O. says he has barely met Kim Woo-bin’s wife after 10-year romance; Lee Kwang-soo sees her often

South Korean singer and actor D.O. (디오) recently spoke about his close friend Kim Woo-bin (김우빈) on a program and unexpectedly revealed that he has barely met Kim’s wife, Shin Min-a (신민아). Aside from one chance encounter at an airport, the two have hardly had a formal meeting, leaving D.O. to joke that he felt “a little hurt” by his friend.

On the 4th, the YouTube channel Channel Fullmoon (채널십오야) released a new video showing D.O. and producer-director Na Young-seok (나영석) chatting about Kim while on the move. In the video, D.O. spots a street advertisement featuring Kim, points to it and says, “It’s Woo-bin.” Na responds in surprise, “Woo-bin?”

Na then recalled a moment from a recent awards ceremony, praising Shin’s appearance as a presenter. “She was very cute at the awards ceremony not long ago,” he said. “Shin Min-a came out to present an award, and she looked great.”

At the 5th Blue Dragon Series Awards, held on the 31st of last month, Shin took the stage to present the grand prize. Kim and Lee Kwang-soo (이광수) were seated in the audience. Lee, in particular, reacted enthusiastically when Shin appeared, cheering loudly as he welcomed her. Kim, seated next to him, smiled shyly and appeared a bit embarrassed, drawing laughter from the audience.

Hearing that, D.O. brought up Kim’s marriage, admitting, “It still doesn’t feel real.” He said with a laugh that he has been close to Kim since they were young. “Because I’ve only ever seen Woo-bin, I felt like he would never get married,” he said.

Na then suddenly asked, “Don’t you see Shin Min-a often?” D.O. replied, “I happened to see her once when we passed each other at the airport.” Na immediately seized the chance to tease him, saying, “I guess Woo-bin is a little embarrassed to let you meet her.”

D.O. laughed and asked, “So he’d be embarrassed to let me meet Shin Min-a?” He then imagined the situation, adding, “So that’s how Woo-bin is?” Bringing up Lee, he said, “I know Kwang-soo seems to see her often.” Na laughed and said, “Now I’m suddenly a little curious.”

D.O. decided on the spot that he would ask Kim directly next time: “Next time I’ll ask him, ‘Why won’t you let me meet Min-a?’” Na deliberately stirred the pot, saying, “I guess Woo-bin finds you a little embarrassing and is too shy to let you meet her?” D.O. immediately played along, imitating the conversation and shouting, “Am I embarrassing?” The exchange had everyone laughing and became one of the program’s highlights.

Meanwhile, Shin and Kim married last December after dating for 10 years. The couple had been public about their relationship for years, and their every move continues to draw attention after their marriage.
