[Abandoned in Shibuya] Lee Jun-young, No Phone, No Japanese, 15-Minute Walk Becomes 4 Hours
Actor Lee Jun-young, formerly of U-KISS, recently shared a heartbreaking experience from his past activities in Japan during a program preview. He recounted how he didn't know the language and didn't have a phone at the time, yet he was left on the streets of Shibuya, Tokyo, and had to find his own way back to the dorm. What should have been just a 15-minute walk ended up taking him a full four hours.

Long-Term Activities in Japan, Intensive Japanese Training
tvN's program 'You Quiz on the Block' released a preview of Lee Jun-young's appearance on July 6. As a former U-KISS member who was active in Japan for a long time, he mentioned that he underwent very intensive Japanese training at the time.
Lee Jun-young recalled: "The older members' Japanese was already excellent. I only knew three phrases: 'Kombanwa,' 'Konnichiwa,' and 'Arigatou Gozaimasu.' But it was very strict."

Dropped in Central Shibuya, 15-Minute Walk Becomes 4 Hours
He then spoke about an incident where he was practically abandoned on the street: "They dropped me off right in the middle of Shibuya and told me to find my way back to the dorm myself. It was actually only a 15-minute walk, but I couldn't speak the language, and I didn't have a phone, so that 15-minute walk took me four hours."
Lee Jun-young also admitted that he was very frustrated at the time because he only knew those three Japanese phrases, yet he had to learn no matter what. He added: "It was my first time in Japan, so I was completely lost."
He stated that he knew the dorm address, in a place called Kamiyamacho, so he could only keep asking passersby: "How do I get to Kamiyamacho?" The episode of 'You Quiz on the Block' featuring Lee Jun-young will air on July 7 at 8:45 PM.
