OH MY GIRL's Mimi Sparks Romance Rumors with Japanese Actor Kasamatsu Sho on 'Radio Star'
OH MY GIRL (오마이걸) member Mimi (미미) recently appeared on MBC's 'Radio Star,' sharing the stage with Japanese actor Kasamatsu Sho (笠松将), who is three years her senior. Their frequent interactions on the show unexpectedly sparked a subtle chemistry, with Mimi even blurting out, "We should date!" which instantly caused a commotion on set.
During the program, Mimi shared how she learned Japanese, revealing that after her debut, she went on a tour in Japan and even topped the Oricon Daily Album Chart. She explained that their schedule was incredibly packed at the time, with "Japanese interviews from morning until early the next day," which significantly improved her Japanese skills.
After hearing her story, Jo Hye-ryun (조혜련) playfully suggested that Mimi and Kasamatsu Sho go on a "blind date," prompting the two to start chatting. Mimi, who enjoys collecting Japanese manga, unhesitatingly named 'Inuyasha' as her favorite when asked. Kasamatsu Sho also turned out to be very familiar with the series, leading them to discover a shared interest.

Noticing their shared interests, Mimi suddenly exclaimed to Kasamatsu Sho, "We should date!" This unexpected confession caused the other guests to cheer, some even jokingly asking if she was ready to end her single status. Mimi playfully retorted, "He's only good on the surface." The back-and-forth banter filled the set with a palpable romantic atmosphere.

In fact, Mimi had previously revealed on a show that her last relationship was in high school, lasting about 50 days before ending due to her boyfriend's infidelity. She had remained single for 14 years since then. She also publicly discussed her ideal type, openly listing a long set of criteria.
Mimi first emphasized that her ideal partner "must not have any unpleasant odors, including bad breath." She then candidly added, "It's certainly better if they have a lot of assets." She also noted that if both individuals are financially stable, they can each live their own lives well. Furthermore, she hoped for someone "handsome, visually appealing, and tall," making her conditions quite specific.
Their ambiguous interactions weren't limited to conversation; a romantic atmosphere also permeated the portrait drawing segment. Mimi mentioned that she dreamed of becoming a cartoonist as a child. Upon learning that Kasamatsu Sho was also skilled at drawing, she spontaneously suggested they draw each other's portraits.
The two sat facing each other across drawing boards, carefully observing each other's features before beginning to draw. During the process, Kasamatsu Sho stared at Mimi's face for an extended period, prompting her to laugh and say, "If you keep drawing and staring at me like that, I might fall in love with you. You're looking too affectionately."

Later, to get Mimi, who kept moving, to sit still, Kasamatsu Sho reached out to signal her not to fidget. This small gesture unexpectedly led Mimi to frankly admit, "My heart fluttered a little just now."
After they completed their portraits, the other guests were amazed by their drawing skills. Mimi and Kasamatsu Sho then exchanged their artworks, causing the host to exclaim, "They look great!" The romantic ambiance between them once again became the focus of everyone's attention.

Mimi was born in 1995, and Kasamatsu Sho in 1992, making them three years apart. While their interactions were only for the show, their natural yet subtly ambiguous chemistry on camera still prompted the guests to frequently tease them.
