Park We (박위), husband of former Secret member Song Ji-eun (송지은), has recently faced controversy for publicly sharing CCTV footage related to a KTX train accident. As public outcry continues, a video of Song Ji-eun's first Chuseok holiday visit to her in-laws' home after marriage, along with her past comments on a television program, have resurfaced and are drawing renewed attention from netizens.

Recently, a 2024 video titled 'First Chuseok at My In-Laws' House' from the YouTube channel 'WERACLE' has gone viral across South Korean online communities and social media. The video, filmed shortly after Song Ji-eun's marriage, documented her first holiday visit to her in-laws. However, some netizens are now re-examining the video's details, suggesting she appeared to feel "subtly excluded" at the time.
Among the details, the tableware arrangement on the dining table has become a focal point of discussion. In the video, Park We's parents, Park We himself, and his honorary younger sister, actress Yoon So-hee (윤소희), all used the same set of dishes. However, Song Ji-eun was seen using a different set of bowls and plates, leading some netizens to question, "Why is the daughter-in-law the only one with different tableware?"
Furthermore, during the pre-meal prayer, Park We was observed mentioning Yoon So-hee before Song Ji-eun. This, coupled with family members repeatedly praising Yoon So-hee's KAIST academic background, has led to these segments being re-examined. Even the scene where Park We's family only greeted Yoon So-hee after ending a video call has sparked debate among netizens.

One netizen commented, "I thought it was a bit strange when I watched it before," and another added, "From Song Ji-eun's perspective, she might have felt somewhat sad." These discussions continue to spread online.
Concurrently, a story shared by Song Ji-eun on MBC's variety show 'Radio Star' (라디오스타) about her interactions with her mother-in-law before her marriage has also resurfaced. At the time, Song Ji-eun revealed that her prospective mother-in-law had specially prepared pajamas for her and offered her cherished clothes to choose from. When the episode aired, this interaction was seen as a heartwarming story of a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law. However, with the recent escalation of Park We's controversy, this past event is now being reinterpreted by some netizens.

Some netizens commented, "Wouldn't it have been better to give her brand new clothes?" and "Taking her to a department store the next day and letting her buy whatever she wanted wouldn't even be enough." Others questioned, "Giving her worn clothes? And the two generations are different, how could she even be touched by that?" and "Asking a girl to sleep over before marriage, preparing worn pajamas, and then giving her a pile of old clothes. If that were my daughter, my heart would ache so much." Another user added, "If they really liked their daughter-in-law that much, they should have bought her new clothes, not given an unmarried girl their old, worn clothes."
Meanwhile, last month, Park We sparked controversy by releasing CCTV footage of his KTX train disembarkation process, raising concerns about the exposure of personal information of a social service worker and a perceived "lack of consideration." He later publicly apologized and deleted the video, also voluntarily resigning from his position as a Seoul City promotional ambassador.
Now, as criticism against Park We continues to escalate, past program content and stories related to his family are being "excavated" by netizens. This has led to a debate in South Korea about what constitutes reasonable public scrutiny versus excessive digging into personal privacy, with two differing viewpoints emerging online.
