Actress Baek Jin-hee to Marry Canadian Non-Celebrity Next January

Korean actress Baek Jin-hee (백진희) has announced her upcoming marriage. The 36-year-old star is set to hold her wedding on January 23 next year in Seoul. Her fiancé has been revealed as an older non-celebrity office worker residing in Canada. Baek Jin-hee's agency confirmed she will continue her acting career after marriage.

On December 7, a representative from Baek Jin-hee's agency, Management AM9, confirmed the news to Korean media outlet News1, stating, "Baek Jin-hee will get married on January 23 next year in Seoul. Her fiancé is an older non-celebrity who lives in Canada."

According to the agency, Baek Jin-hee and her fiancé maintained their relationship through frequent travel between Seoul and Canada. After a period of dating, the couple decided to marry. Her fiancé is not involved in the entertainment industry; he is an ordinary office worker currently based in Canada. Baek Jin-hee previously shared that his English name is "Henry."

Following the wedding announcement, Baek Jin-hee shared a handwritten letter on her personal social media on December 8, expressing her feelings to fans. She wrote, "You may have already heard the news through reports, but I wanted to convey my feelings personally, so I am writing this letter."

She confessed, "Even I can't quite believe it yet, but I am getting married." She then sweetly added, "I met a wonderful person who showed me how precious ordinary days spent together can be, and I felt a desire to spend a long life with this person."

Finally, Baek Jin-hee thanked her fans for their unwavering support, saying, "I will not forget the love and attention you have given me. I will strive to show a better side of myself, both as an actress and as an individual."

Born in 1990, Baek Jin-hee debuted in 2008 with the film Bandhobi. She steadily built her filmography, gaining significant attention in 2013 for her role as the ruthless villain Empress Danashri in the K-drama Empress Ki. Her stellar performance earned her multiple rookie awards, quickly boosting her popularity.

Subsequently, she took on the role of the innocent and optimistic Geum Sa-wol in My Daughter, Geum Sa-wol, winning over audiences with her nuanced emotional acting and solidifying her status as a leading actress. Since then, she has appeared in works such as Let's Eat 3, Feel Good to Die, and The Real Has Come!. She also starred in Judge Lee Han-young, which concluded earlier this year, maintaining her active presence in the drama scene.
