Former K-Pop Idol Haru of NATURE Becomes Hostess in Japan, Group Disbands
NATURE, a nine-member girl group that debuted in 2018, officially announced its disbandment on April 27, 2024. Recently, Japanese member Haru (하루) garnered attention from Korean and Japanese fans due to a career transition. Her sudden appearance at a hostess club in Sendai, Japan, where she publicly declared her new role, unexpectedly led fans to suspect NATURE's disbandment.

Haru recently appeared in a promotional video for "Royal Club Sendai" in Japan, introducing herself to potential customers. Surprisingly, she did not shy away from her past idol identity, instead openly referring to herself as a "former K-pop idol" and revealing her new profession as a hostess. The video even interspersed clips of her past fan meetings and music show appearances, emphasizing her history as a member of a Korean girl group.

The video also showed Haru dancing and holding bottles of alcohol. A "hostess" primarily involves female staff accompanying guests for drinks, conversation, and entertainment, catering mainly to male clients, and does not involve providing sexual services.
