K-POP group ONEUS (원어스) has announced their full group comeback, successfully breaking the infamous '7-year jinx'. Meanwhile, power metal band DragonForce (드래곤포스) also captured music fans' attention by releasing a new music video.
ONEUS Overcomes '7-Year Jinx' for Full Group Comeback
K-POP boy group ONEUS (원어스) has successfully overcome the '7-year jinx' with the release of their 12th EP album, 'FIRST LIGHT: 井', on September 23, 2026, at 6 PM KST. According to a Korea Times report, the '7-year jinx' for K-POP groups refers to the point when standard exclusive contracts expire, marking a turning point where members consider solo activities, seeking new agencies, or even retirement.
ONEUS debuted under RBW in January 2019 and left the agency in February of this year upon contract expiration. With member Seoho (서호) rejoining the group in August 2026 after completing his military service (which began in February 2025), the group will resume activities as a five-member lineup (Seoho, Leedo, Keonhee, Hwanwoong, Xion). Member Keonhee (건희) stated in a Korea Times interview that they "easily agreed to stay together without much discussion," and B-Wave Entertainment acquired the group's intellectual property (IP), allowing them to retain the name ONEUS.
The new album, 'FIRST LIGHT: 井', is inspired by the Chinese character '井' (jeong), which means 'moon reflected in a water well,' symbolizing a place where the members and fans meet. Keonhee explained that this album connects to their 2019 debut album, 'LIGHT US,' conveying a message that after receiving light from fans in the past, they will now shine light on each other. The album features a total of five tracks, including the title track 'Say Yes!' produced by R.Tee (known for producing BLACKPINK's hit songs), as well as 'Runaway,' 'By Chance,' 'Never Ending Us,' and 'We run for youth.' Hwanwoong (환웅), Leedo (이도), and Keonhee also participated in writing and composing some of the B-side tracks.
Alongside the new album release, ONEUS will embark on the '2026 ONEUS WORLD TOUR 'FULL MOON'.' They are set to meet fans worldwide, starting with concerts in Seoul, Korea, on October 24th and 25th, followed by stops in Latin America, Europe, North America, and Asia.

DragonForce Unveils 'Hunger of the Beast' MV and Announces 10th Studio Album
Grammy-nominated extreme power metal band DragonForce (드래곤포스) released the official music video for their new song, 'Hunger of the Beast,' on September 22, 2026, via the official DragonForce YouTube channel. They are set to release their 10th studio album, a self-titled album simply called 'DragonForce,' on March 19, 2027, through Napalm Records.
This album features newly joined lead vocalist Alissa White-Gluz and vocalist Alessio Garavello, alongside long-standing members Herman Li, Sam Totman, Gee Anzalone, Alicia Vigil, and new member Billy Wilkins. The band stated that the new album promises "high energy, relentless speed, and powerful, triumphant hooks," and will be crafted in a new way that fans haven't experienced before.
DragonForce has also announced dates for their 'Inhuman Rampage 20th Anniversary Tour,' offering tickets and limited VIP upgrades. Guitarist Herman Li is engaging with fans through a giveaway for the PRS SE Chleo guitar used in the music video and via Twitch live streams.
