Former Stellar Member Minhee Announces Marriage, Shares Bridal Shower Photos with Group Members

Minhee (민희), a former member of the K-pop girl group Stellar (스텔라), is preparing for her wedding. She recently shared photos from a surprise bridal shower organized by her former bandmates, capturing their deep friendship as they posed together in white dresses.

On the 25th, Minhee posted several photos on her personal social media account, happily writing, "A surprise bridal shower prepared by our members. After dinner, we went to a cafe, and everyone's eyes suddenly looked so flustered, hahaha. When did you secretly prepare this? ㅠㅠㅠ Thank you so much ㅠㅠㅠㅠ You're the best!"

The photos show the Stellar members gathered to celebrate Minhee's upcoming marriage, surprising her with the party. The four women, dressed in white dresses, struck various poses side-by-side, demonstrating their unchanging bond over the years. Minhee couldn't hide her joyful smile in response to her members' thoughtful surprise, making the entire bridal shower a warm and intimate affair.

Minhee first announced her engagement on social media in April, simply writing, "Yes... I'm getting married too." This short message conveyed the bride-to-be's excitement to her fans. Now, with the shared photos of her surprise bridal shower, fans can further feel her happiness as she prepares for a new chapter in her life.

Stellar debuted in 2011 with "Rocket Girl," initially promoting a fresh and cute image. However, after about three to four years without significant success, their agency faced financial difficulties and decided to shift the group towards a more sensual and daring concept. In 2014, they released "Marionette," adopting a bold and sexy image that quickly generated buzz due to their provocative outfits and controversial choreography, establishing them as one of the representative sexy girl groups.

They continued this mature and sensual style with subsequent releases like "Mask," "Vibrato," and "Sting." In particular, 2015's "Vibrato" once again sparked discussion due to its styling and stage concept. International media even described Stellar using terms like "sexy girl group" and "provocative."

However, behind these daring concepts, the members previously revealed unspoken pressures. Member Youngheun (영흔), when discussing the "Marionette" music video, mentioned the highly debated "milk" scene. She explained that the original script depicted the character drinking milk in the morning while missing an ex-boyfriend, but during filming, the director suddenly asked the member to "let the milk spill a little."

At the time, the members did not realize that this scene would carry strong sexual connotations. It wasn't until the MV was released and they saw netizens' comments that they understood the scene was interpreted entirely differently. Youngheun also revealed that the member who filmed the milk scene was only 20 years old at the time and was deeply affected, to the point where she stopped drinking white milk afterward.

Youngheun also shared an experience from the "Vibrato" era. She stated that on the day of the photoshoot, the agency presented the members with more revealing outfits to try on. The members expressed that they "couldn't dance in these clothes," but staff still insisted they "try them on first." Ultimately, the members wore the outfits for about five photos, believing these images would not be publicly used. To their surprise, the agency later used the photos as promotional material.

Youngheun explained that the members were very young at the time and bound by their contracts. When they expressed reluctance, the company would remind them of contractual obligations and penalty fees, making the members fear that refusing could lead to substantial breach-of-contract penalties, thus preventing them from easily resisting.

Now, Minhee, a former Stellar member once known for her sensual image, is set to marry, and her former bandmates have prepared a surprise bridal shower to celebrate. From sharing the stage to now accompanying each other into new life stages, their sisterhood remains admirable.
