Woman Accusing Hwang Jung-min Releases New Audio, Claims Physical Contact From First Meeting and Misrepresentation of Cat Photos
South Korean actor Hwang Jung-min (황정민) is currently embroiled in a private life controversy, accused of an inappropriate relationship with a woman identified as 'A.' Amid public questioning and continuous media reports, 'A,' who faces charges of stalking and harassment, has released new audio recordings to refute the claims, further intensifying the dispute between the two parties.
On June 30, 'A' posted on her personal social media, denying a *Dispatch* report that claimed "the two had no physical contact." She asserted, "If unilateral sexual harassment counts as physical contact, then it started from the airport. And during our first meeting, there was physical contact all the way from the bar to the alley where we caught a taxi."

Furthermore, 'A' addressed allegations that she had sent "cat corpse photos" to threaten Hwang Jung-min. She clarified, "Those were not ordinary cat corpse photos. They were taken on the day I had to make the decision to euthanize my beloved cat, who had suffered from illness for 16 years."
She explained that she sent three photos: her cat before its passing, during the euthanasia process, and after its death, showing blood from its nose, which she had cleaned. She also released chat logs and a phone recording with Hwang Jung-min, where they discussed the cat's condition.

'A' stated that the public's claim that she sent "photos of what appeared to be her dead cat to instill fear and disgust" was unfounded.
She further revealed that during a phone call on January 2, 2025, as heard in the released recording, she told Hwang Jung-min that her cat was dying and she was in immense pain. Hwang Jung-min allegedly responded, "Just quickly smear some *doenjang* (된장) on it and get rid of it. Do it soon, just like that." She condemned this remark as deeply insulting and claimed Hwang Jung-min later denied saying it.
'A' emphasized that she provided full explanations with the photos, which were simply an expression of her grief over losing her beloved cat, and had no intention of causing fear, anxiety, or disgust.
She believes the photos were a response to Hwang Jung-min's insulting comments, not a deliberate attack. However, she claims that police reports and media coverage deliberately omitted the sequence of events and photo explanations, repackaging them as her "intentionally creating fear." She added, "Such a claim can only stand if all of Hwang Jung-min's previous insulting remarks to me are removed."
'A' also questioned why the media, despite having access to her complete explanations, deliberately ignored the context, which led her to decide to refute this part first.
The controversy began when 'A' recently claimed to have maintained an inappropriate relationship with Hwang Jung-min since 2024. She subsequently released Messenger chat screenshots and phone recordings, asserting that the two had met privately on multiple occasions, drawing significant public attention.
In response, Hwang Jung-min's agency, SAM Company, vehemently denied the claims, stating that 'A' is a "suspect in a long-term stalking and harassment case against Hwang Jung-min." The agency noted that the court has issued three temporary restraining orders against her, found her guilty of stalking, and imposed a fine of 3 million Korean Won (approximately 2,170 USD). The agency also emphasized that it would take further legal action against malicious editing of content and the spread of false information.
Meanwhile, the production company of Hwang Jung-min's starring film, *Hope*, also issued a statement. They reported that 'A' has continuously sent emails with maliciously edited content to film partners and related companies, and repeatedly posted and deleted offensive content targeting the actor and the film on social media. This has caused actual business interference for the production team, and they will take strong legal measures in response.
