TRI.BE Member Soeun Hints at Group's Undisclosed Disbandment
TRI.BE, a seven-member girl group, was a joint venture between South Korean agencies TR Entertainment and MELLOW Entertainment, with renowned music producer Shinsadong Tiger (신사동 호랭이) and Universal Music involved in its launch. The group officially debuted on February 17, 2021, with their first single album, “TRI.BE Da Loca.” On July 21, 2023, Jinha (今夏) departed the group due to health reasons, and TRI.BE continued as a six-member act. The group garnered significant attention from K-pop fans after their debut, but their activities stalled following TR Entertainment's bankruptcy announcement in March 2025, with no public schedules for an extended period.

Now, it appears TRI.BE may have officially concluded its journey. Soeun (소은), a 20-year-old member, recently introduced herself on a program as a "former TRI.BE member." Discussing her idol life, she candidly stated that she would not return to the idol profession.
The story behind TRI.BE is also quite poignant. Renowned music producer Shinsadong Tiger, who served as the executive producer for TR Entertainment and was instrumental in creating TRI.BE, passed away in 2024. Following his death, the company faced financial difficulties, declared bankruptcy, and TRI.BE subsequently moved to another agency to continue its activities.
However, TRI.BE's official social media accounts gradually ceased updates starting in July 2025, leading to speculation that the group might have disbanded, though no official announcement was ever made. Soeun's recent remarks now seem to confirm the rumors of TRI.BE's unannounced disbandment.
On August 19, the YouTube channel "Giggle" released a video featuring several Korean girls reacting to deleted scenes from the American animated series "Family Guy." At the beginning of the video, Soeun was introduced as a girl group member, but she personally stated that she "used to be a member of TRI.BE."
